Glad to see the circus (Currie) has left town, and a real Football Man, who understands how to conduct a coaching search is on the Hill. Now? Lets close the deal, and get whoever, in there, and lets support this!

This is a tough vote. I'd be willing to have Miles if he had a great OC. If no good staff, then probably Venables.

Told you guys and ladies from day 1

Should be Les Miles

And that like it or not Schiano would be hired.....

Nobody liked either and told me ZERO chance on both....🙄

Look at Tennessee fans now begging for Miles option

Shiano's mom is back.

Who I told EVERYONE from day 1 Tennessee needed as HC was Les Miles....

It became obvious to people who can read, and comprehend what they read, that Schiano was going to be hired two weeks before he was....

Schiano is a good football coach.

however Miles has been my #1 from the word go....

I even started the first Les Miles thread...

Leach is a .500 coach, about like Cutcliffe in my opinion. no thanks

Leach is not my top choice but this is a straight up lie. He is over 60% at two garbage programs in p5 conferences. What he has done is amazing, even if he isn't my top choice.

I have lived in Baton Rouge the entire time Miles coached here. He is an idiot, with no clue about offense, won two of his last 6 SEC games, was just mailing it in on recruiting at the last, would not hold our recruiting class together, and in no way would fit with the culture of East Tennessee.

Those who tout his early yrs achievements ignore the same for Fulmer, and I am not advocating the latter be our coach. His early LSU successes were with Saban recruits and his trajectory was spiraling down from there. Miles has no attachment to the Tennessee tradition. None.

We need our offense at least tweaked, if not re-tooled, and Norvell, Tee or Sumlin would all be superior choices for that, and more exciting choices to hold our recruiting class together than this hopeless retread Miles.

Not arguing that one bit....he has his downfalls and he stayed at LSU too long after they changed AD's

Every coach has faults and weaknesses.

Les Miles has been the best choice for TENNESSEE from day 1.

Tennessee no matter how much some fans believed could get any coach Tennessee wanted .... after 15 years of suck was just not true.

What's your all thoughts of Mel Tucker. Defiently be good on the defensive side. Not sure about HC, but may be intresting hire.

The line for coaches to use Tennessee for raises????

It was very long.

Good fits that will take the rebuild job with unrealistic expectations.... very small

Les Miles is best option

Venables for one reason full of fire would be a big time recruiter, Les is just to old to try to bring a program back to the top at where we are now, just in the East we are 4th at best in talent maybe even 5th we are closer to the bottom than the top in talent so we need that young guy that is full of energy to hit the road running for recruiting, i don't think Les has the fire in him to get the job done, look at LSU even after LSU let him come back for the final year Les still would not change his approach of how to run the offense and look at the talent and right now i don't think he could get the talent to come here like he did at LSU.now a big IF word if you could get T to come here with LES as the OC and coach in waiting for 3 or 4 years that might work for recruiting but i don't think T would come here as OC head coach only and i would rather have Venables as head coach than T, Martin doesn't have the fire inside burning like coach V WOULD HAVE, i think Venables can turn us around real quick, we got some talent this time.
