This game will be close and then Lofton will hit a big 3 to send us to the sweet 16!

Tennessee-88
Virginia-82

No, it will just put the game in the bag, and send us on a date with the buckeyes and their 45 year old center!

Barring a disastrous shooting day, I think the Vols can pull it out based on what I've read about Virginia.

Tennessee 76
Virginia 69

this is a HUGE game for tennessee basketball history.

as ESPN says, i think the guards on both teams will neutrilize each other, which means the roll players will have to step up...i think duke and wayne will...should be another high scoring game...

Tenn 81
UVA 73

I think one of two things will happen. We either win due to great shooting by Lofton with some help from JuJuan or we lose because of their talented guards are able to put up better numbers than our guards.

I think we're more athletic, and more physical in the paint. Obviously, UVA will defend us better than LBSU did, but the pace of the game should allow us to top 80 points...and when we hit 80, we usually win.

I also look for another big game out of Ramar Smith...he's a very good defender, great rebounder, and he does an excellent job of creating contact off his dribble penetration and getting to the line...Lofton should get his 20-25 points, but Ramar may be the key to a Vol victory.

yeah once again it goes back to how lofton plays and if he's in foul trouble or not...when he's off the floor, UVA's defense can spread out...when lofton's on the floor his presence creates open shots for others...so even if lofton has an off game and the roll players step up, we should win

do you think lofton and the smiths can guard UVA's guards...what kind of defense will tenn be playing most of the time?

I just think their defense is too good, and we just won't shoot as well. We will need a good game on defense to beat them, too.

I think our guys can guard them...

Chris is such a great shooter that he's overlooked defensively...he a good one-on-one defender and gets into passing lanes as good as any player on the team.

Ramar and JaJuan are solid defenders too...I think Ramar is developing into the best all-around point guard in the SEC. Josh Tabb will come off the bench and provide plenty of quality minutes for us defensively.

My only concern is Jordan Howell...I'm not so sure he can defend these UVA guards.

Jordan Howell makes me nervous. Sometimes I think he acts like he is scared and doesn't know what to do with the ball.
