Predictions now that spring camp is completed

9-3? Wow. Heupel should get coach of the year. With that schedule, you most assuredly make the playoff. Word out of camp that QBs aren’t processing well in live game situations. Too many holes, and not a proven QB. We didn’t replace Brazzell. We were more active in the portal, but everyone is still asking about DT, LOL. Too much high school talent that isn’t going to contribute right away.

I think 7 wins is about it. The wild card here is defense and the new strength coach. The other is whether Heupel will revert back to 2024 and slow things up and go run heavy. I think we’ll be improved defensively but will regress big time in the passing game. I don’t see enough on the D line to compete against that schedule.
I will go 9-3 too. Defense will be the difference.

A while back I said 7-5 possible 8-4 but since we don't have Joey returning I fell 6-6 is probably more realistic.
Just too many unknowns and other teams have also changed coaches so knows what fire KY may have under a new coach.
I said the same. I see 7-5 or if injuries bite us again, 6-6. 8-4 would be fantastic and I'd take it right now.

I was at 8-4 but I'm starting to lean toward 7-5 (not because of spring practice reports, but honestly just because of schedule).

It isn't a stretch at all to possibly have losses to Bama, Texas, TAMU, LSU, plus "insert yearly random ass loss here".

I think it depends on the texas game. If we win, it would be a HUGE confidence boost for the entire program leading us on to maybe only losing to lsu.
If we lose, but it is close and tex wins on a last second fg or something, I think that also boosts confidence and we still manage to beat everyone but lsu although the bama game turns out to be way closer than we want.

If we get blown out by tex... confidence is crushed and I think we also lose to either auburn or arky plus bama, atm and lsu.

It's off season, so I'll go 9-3. This is more than possible if we are truly ahead of schedule on defense side of the ball, as indicated by JH and others. You can almost count of a JH offense being middle/upper tier in SEC, and if we've really got the defense dialed in, we could be a tough out...plus it seems we have a kicker...and when games are as tight as they are in SEC you need a dependable one... At least that's my off season vote. Here's the thing though...w/ new 9 game SEC slate, and semi-even talent spread in the "big middle" of SEC is going to make things very interesting...and sometimes very frustrating.

Based on Fingers excellent breakdowns on spring practice and the summaries I am reading from the Orange/White game (I am still deployed so was not able to go in person) it appears our QB situation is decent. Our talented WRs have butter fingers but hopefully that can improve and our offensive line is a little suspect. I don't think it is a reach to say defense will be improved. It appears they looked very good and very well coached at the Orange/White game. I still want to see how the defense looks in a real game and Tech will definitely test our secondary early. It is also reassuring that our three biggest games, Bama, LSU and Texas, are all at Neyland. My gut says we end 9-3 as I think we will take one of those at Neyland but knowing Tennessee lose some game we are not supposed to like Arkansas or A&M. 9-3 makes us a bubble playoff team. 10-2 I think gets us in.

GT has potential to be our 1st real challenge

The Rambling Wreck is not going to have that very good QB this season. That youngster was almost the second coming of Johnny Football and sort of streaky good like Pavia. With him gone I think we take GT. But this is not a favorable schedule for us this year. By the end of that GT game, we'll have a better feel for how this season is going to go. There is potential for it being an out perform or wear a bag season, time will tell.

6-6 is very possible. Those home games are going to be difficult to get the win.

Beat LSU and send Kiffin out of Neyland with a loss and destroy Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Decent way to end the season and prepare for a bowl game with additional practices and PT heading into '27.

I really like our defense (paper) and oline.

Lbs could be the best group in the SEC.

I think our dline will be much improved (still undersized at tackle)

Even without Coleman I believe our DEs play will be better.

Our corners should be solid as well as safety.

The oline could also be the best in the SEC.

RB room is solid. Maybe someone emerges as the game breaker.

QBs are young but talented. I think we see a lot of growing pains at the position.

TEs room is unproven (except for Davis who played his best ball at the end of last season)

WR room is very good but may not get many opportunities due to the QB position.

I’m optimistic 8-4 - 9-3 depending on the growth rate at QB.

I’m realistic at 7-5

8-5 last year with an easier schedule, better offense, and worse defense (hopefully).

I think floor is 5 wins which is easily possible if a QB gets injured and the defense is just average this season.

I think ceiling is 9 wins.

So, probably 7 win season.

I had high hopes for Heupel up until the Milton season. I think it's just a matter of time but ADDW seems loyal.

Speaking of predictions, anyone want to predict how much a large Coke will cost this year? I mean, I gotta know how much Jack to bring!!

Beat GT and Vandy and I think we go 8-4 with losses to Texas, Bama, TAMU, and LSU.

Split with GT and Vandy - 7-5

Lose to both - 6-6

Having said that, USC and Auburn could be tough games.
