Predictions from Oregon fans

sorry but that is a laughable statement......no one has more arrests than tenn this past year. NO ONE. Many more which were much more serious that stealing a laptop, two duis, and stupid fight where the kicker got his handed to him. You guys have had armed robberies and such...

Oops, you just messed up.

I'm not sure where those predictions came from, they sound pretty junior high to me. I'm a Duck so sure I have us picked to win. I'm going with Oregon 28 Tennessee 21.

I think this will be a tough game and I have total respect for the Tennessee program. I'm not pleased with how Oregon's offense played against New Mexico, they messed up big time too often. Thomas missed receivers that were wide open and threw an interception to kill the opening drive in the Red Zone. He hit the defender right in the hands with no one around. If he does that against Tenn, we're in trouble.

On top of that I thought our kick coverage was very average to below average giving up over 20 yds a return.

As for Tennessee, I think even with 6 D linemen being schuttled throughout the game they will be tired in the third/fourth quarter if the Tenn offense doesn't control the time of possession really well. By example: I'd expect Oregon to use 9 D linemen to keep them fresh. It is my understanding from another post on VolNation that Tennessee will use a 6 man rotation on the D line.

Oregon's defense usually does a really good job stuffing the run, so I'd expect Tennessee to have to put it in the air a bit to keep Oregon's defense honest. If the Vols don't get the passing game going they will be in for a long day.

That's the perspective from this Duck. This should be a great game. I'm pumped.

1st thanks for not being an azz
2nd i think your pretty right on with your comments
3rd do you think the qb/offense will be able to handle the crowd noise. i read somewhere that oregon uses hand signals or something but not sure.
if UT jumped out to say a 10 to 14 point lead early how will the young QB react(in your opinion)?
last thing. i know nothing of the weater in oregon do you think the heat and humidity could be a factor?

Knoxville Weekend Weather Forecast (37902) - weather.com

looks like its gonna be warm and humid with chance of rain. 80% humidity with a high of 87* so it will still be around 80ish at kickoff.

I know it was nice "then" but tha cal game dont mean nothing now. Diff coaches , players , game plan, etc. So bc we beat them dont mean we will O. Plus wasn't our coaches intercepting their plays on head phones? I do think we have a chance, but its stupid to compare then with now and expect same results

most definately and we don't just practice this for away games, we run the fastest offense in the country and we always use hand signals. which is why the crowd noise won't be the factor most think.

Florida was going to put up 70 on us last year. Didn't happen. Bama was supposed to roll over us. Didn't happen. Yet Ole Miss did roll us. Dooley should have the bulletin board jumping and some big chips for our shoulders.

Tenn just doesn't have enough experience to keep up with Oregon. Forget about both teams openers, Oregon returns 17 starters on offense. They have what many consider their best defense coming into this year. Unfortunately Tenn is in a rebuilding mode and it will be tough for them to keep up with the Ducks. Oregon's RB's are fast, really fast. As are their DB's. Should be a good game but in the end it looks like Oregon will just out match

Oregon 38
Tenn 24

Yall return 17 starters on offense?!? No wonder you hung 72 on NM, you had 6 extra players.

Let them predict scores, everyone has an opinion, even if it's a bad one. I hope it's close, I'll be there. I wonder how many plays they didn't do in the UT Martin game? I'll say a lot. I hope we can get the element of the surprise. Oregon may be thinking of easy win and then Tennessee wins. We can only hope, haha!

LaMichael was guilty of Harrassment, not assault. Check out https://www.oregonlaws.org/ors/166.065.html. It doesn't take much to get charged with this. "Intentionally annoys another person..." Not that this is cool, but its not exactly "beating a woman."

well there you go. Who knew he was just helping her across the street while making an annoying buzzing sound. He's probably up for a key to the city.
