Predictions from Oregon fans

Uh, the PAC 10 champs?

For all of your putting down of the Pac-10 around here, why don't you tell us your all time record against the Pac-10? And since that "amazing" win over Cal(the same Cal team that was 5th in the Pac-10 that year). That's right UT has lost 3 strait to the Pac-10 and you are 13-12-2 all time. That's domination! And it's not like you lost to great teams either, UCLA sucks.

Oh and what is the "mighty" SEC record against the Pac-10 in the last 10 years?

I know size isn't always matter in run defense, but I thought I read where your starting defensive line was extremely light weight. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I figured we could get good push off the line in our run game this weekend.

Typically, Oregon has had a pretty small d line. From ESPN it looks like they range from 262 to 318. It's not uncommon for Oregon's defense to rely on speed and quickness. You might see a d lineman drop back in pass coverage, say taking a fullback or tight end or middle zone. Then on the other side of things don't be surprised to see the LBs fill quickly on run plays up the middle. Whether that works against Tennessee, we'll just have to wait. It's the old cliche, bend but don't break. The break happens when a Terrell Pryor starts completing passes for the first time in his college carreer. Then the d gets in trouble.

Oregon was #2 in the PAC-10 against the rush last year, giving up 3.1 yds/carry, with basically the same guys. Where you beat the Ducks is with the pass where they ranked #10 out of 10 teams defensively.

Settle down Beavis. It'll be ok.

I'm very impressed!

Next you will tell me that you play in the strongest conference in the country.

We were the SEC East champions in 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2007.

this doesn't make you sec champs......a win in atlanta does. Our conference puts out the true champ, of course that will all change when we expand.

lol.....I don't even want to talk about the past but it is what is wanted here. I am looking forward to the victory this weekend.....am leaning to wanting to embarass you. Very well could happen....

And Boise state just beat Va Tech, the same team that cleaned our clocks last year.:eek:hmy:

Which I might add that it was noted that Kiffin was not even at the bowl practice..he was recruiting because he already knew he was going to USC..he didnt care if we won or lost that game..he was already out the door and didnt care

don't really feel like looking it up (pretty much because you're not worth it) but the last 4 NC's were from where?

Your team has been good no doubt, I just don't like the fact everyone is claiming it'll be a massive blowout. It won't be it'll be a close game right until the very end IMO.

Everyone isn't claiming it's going to be a massive blow out. It's going to be a tough close game. Nuff said.

Oregon is 3-4 against SEC teams, all-time. Two of those wins are against the kid brother, Miss. St.

So you played SEC teams 7 times and we played Pac-10 teams 27 times.

Well, play SEC teams 20 more years, and then we will compare.

this. oregon's front 7 is legit. i don't see an inexperienced vol oline dominating.

I would love to see a DT try and cover Luke Stocker.

look at it from both sides.......go visit the predictions threads for this board and tell me you agree with what you see.....lol. 80% of you have you winning and probably half think it is by 7 or more.

I think we win by 10 but as I have said it could get ugly.

Your lbs will not match up well with Keving cooper.

they only see size....they don't see the inexperience factor. Many forget that the ducks slow start last year was because of the O-line and it's new starters.

Was skimming their board to see what they think about the game. They don't think much of Tennessee based on their predictions.

Oregon 48 Tennessee 6 +42
Oregon 55 Tennessee 14 +41
Oregon 56 Tennessee 16 +40
Oregon 49 Tennessee 10 +39
Oregon 52 Tennessee 14 +38
Oregon 52 Tennessee 17 +35
Oregon 49 Tennessee 17 +32 x2
Oregon 42 Tennessee 17 +25
Oregon 41 Tennessee 17 +24 x2
Oregon 42 Tennessee 21 +21 x2
Oregon 31 Tennessee 10 +21
Oregon 35 Tennessee 14 +21
Oregon 34 Tennessee 20 +14
Oregon 31 Tennessee 17 +14
Oregon 34 Tennessee 23 +11
Oregon 38 Tennessee 28 +10
Oregon 24 Tennessee 14 +10

8 of 20 think they'll win by 32 or more.

15 of 20 think they'll win by 21 or more.

19 of 20 think they'll score 31 or more.

Hopefully the Vols will win and an epic meltdown on Oregon's board will ensue. Would enjoy seeing the reactions from the people predicting 30+ if Oregon loses.

Which board was it?

But personally, I have it 35-17, give or take a TD.

actually cal was tied for first the year tenn beat us and destroyed a&m in the holiday bowl. the year that cal beat tenn, cal finished 7th in the pac-10.

I've been claiming all along it would be a close, hard fought game that could go either way in the end. Either team wins by 7-10 points that's it. I just didn't like some Oregon predictions when they expect to drop 40 points or so on us. Still its going to be a good game I'm looking forward to it.

they could easily drop 40 on you if they get rolling. i don't see it happening though.

I guess I need to sell my tickets then since the game is already over and it was a blow out...anyone want seats in S row 31? I guess they are not worth the paper that they are printed on now....o well
