First of all, I can't wait until Vol Nation embarks on Columbus and the Shoe, this game will be epic. What are your predictions for the game?
Banks and Heupel thought we could get to Beck only rushing four.Still my biggest lament about the Georgia game. We respected Beck far too much. I would rather have brought the house a time or three and seen whether he could identify what that left open before he was on his backside.
Yeah, you’d think with the depth and insane rotation that Garner has put together we’d be seeing more pressure even against the better offensive lines. I just think if I wasn’t getting there consistently I’d probably gamble a little more. But that’s why Banks makes $1.5M a year and I’m a guy on a message boardBanks and Heupel thought we could get to Beck only rushing four.
They talked about that being one of the biggest keys to our season.
And while our very good and very deep dline has been great against the run, we haven’t had as many sacks or hurries as we’d like.
(Now some would say that a big reason for that is that we are being held a lot and not getting enough/very few holding whistles).
DSamp should be walking around campus this week with a football and Vol staff member intern.Dsamp has to have good game, no fumbles, few penalties and no big plays from their Wr’s and we have good chance. It would also help if Nico could hit some deep passes
Let's be realistic here....There is no reality where the powers that be in college football allow UT to beat Ohio State in Columbus in the first round of the playoffs. It doesn't fit their narrative. Be ready for about 100-120 yards in penalties called against the Vols. I see at least 1 big score called back on us at the most inopportune time to shift momentum. We'll be playing 11 against 18 all night long.
Unfortunately, I see the Vols lose a close one 27-24.
