3. National champion Florida struggles through off field troubles in off season.

4. 11-1 Volunteers fall to LSU in SECCG.

5. Ainge all SEC first team. Ignored by Heisman.

6. LadyVols fall in round of 16.

7. Arkansas struggles to find the magic of '06.

8. LadyVol Softball wins NCAA championship.

9. Brad Cottam, all SEC first team.

1. Vols go 9-3, lose to Florida, Arkansas, and a letdown game somewhere inbetween. Fulmer says we're young and the program is going in the right direction and the blindly loyal masses buy it yet again.

2. Lsu beats Georgia for the sec

3. Michigan beats west virginia for the national title

1. Meach remains a Vol when he realizes he will be 4 or 5 WR taken in draft.
2. UT mops floor with PSU
3. OSU kills UF and yes Urban cries again.
4. Bruce and the boys get 2 NCAA wins
5. OSU (Cowboys) beat bammer and I smile even bigger.
6. UT football team surprises even the biggest of all negavols and has a very good year.
7. HateVol is so taken by the work of CPF and staff he leads an effort to give him a HUGE raise. :)

5. Pitt loses in NCAA tourney before they get to 16 teams.

6. One for beyond 2007: Gred Schiano is PSU's next coach, surprising everyone that had Tom Bradley penciled in.

1. UF beats OSU in NT game, and Harvin is the star of the game with >140 yards of total offense and three touchdowns (2 receiving, one rushing).

2. Tennessee handily beats PSU at a rainy Outback Bowl game.

3. Gators make it to Elite Eight but come out flat and get punched in the mouth by N Carolina.

4. Common wisdom in mid-February is that Tennessee needs to make it SEC tournament final to get into NCAA. Tennessee does so, losing in second round to a Big Ten team in an 8-10 matchup.

6. Bobby Bowden announces retirement for end of '07-'08 season.

IMO, UT has to beat Florida to make it to the SEC champ game.

Based on the athletes Meyer is recruiting this year and last thats going to be very difficult.

I'm not optimistic that UT will win a SEC champ anytime soon. BCS bowl is an outside possibility.

More from the all knowing Beef.

1. Tebow starts off doing pretty good but by mid season the SEC schools shut him down and the gimmicks no longer work.

2. bammer fires their new coach before he even coaches a game after he was found to have hung out with strippers and let them run up his hotel bill. :whistling:

Based on the talent that UT has and the class we are recruiting I think it will be tough for UF to beat UT and win another SEC title. They do have an outside possibility to go to a BCS bowl but I put LSU ahead of them.

Fulmer would have to coach our Football team, basketball team, and baseball team all to national championships to merit a raise at this point. He's making plenty.

Enjoy things while you can LG. OSU will mop you up and make your coach cry again. This next few weeks will be the highlight for the Urbanator. His gimmick offense will end by mid season.

Exactly. You can't talk smack to a team playing in the National Championship Game when you are participating in a meaningless bowl in a nothing happening city.

A little harsh, maybe, but overall correct. You will note I have not been going around with I-told-you-so's and what not about this shot at an NT.

Talk about backing into it. In the last two weeks, Florida had to beat FSU and Arkansas (and look decent doing it), plus have Notre Dame lose and then USC lose in a pretty big upset to UCLA. And then Florida had to hope that the pollsters would see fit to elevate the Gators to the #2 spot despite the fact that a few weeks earleir they had to block three South Carolina kicks to win, just after having beaten Vandy by a lone touchdown.

No gloating here, trust me.

Florida hasn't backed into this game at all. They've met every challenge put in front of them. Nebraska backed in after the '01 season. OU did in '03. Florida earned their spot.

Why not? I don't like them and I think OSU will beat them soundly. Their coach cries in public and I think their gimmick Offense will flop.

And as far as LG goes. I do have something to gain. When Florida loses I get a kick out of it. :)

And for what it's worth, I think the Alligator defense is strong enough and fast enough to slow Ohio down.
Make some plays and you guys are champions.
