I love me some Vols and some lofty predictions, but without improved downfield throwing from Dobbs, I can't see us in the playoff...

I'm always confused by posts like this. Who are you directing this at? The players? I'm sure they're looking at off-season workouts and not hype. The coaches? They're focused on recruiting and one game at a time. I'm sure neither the coaches or players are overlooking anyone on the schedule.

If you're talking to the fans then why does it matter? Why do you demand we not get excited about this team till after the Florida game? In what way does put excitement affect the result of the game?

This is why I don't get the break pumping crew. It would be one thing if we were players and getting ahead of ourselves and overlooking opponents. But we're fans. Our excitement level does not affect how good a season we'll have in 2016.

Could you tell me how Auburn, UCLA, USC, and Oregon were predicted for this season?And Tennessee as well? If it is close this year, I'll pay attention to this website next year. GBO

Edit: or is it a radio show?

They'll tell you what you want to hear so that you'll tune in next time for more of the same. I'm sure the guys in Gainesville are talking about how improved UF will be next year.

You know....I am in the group of beat the gay...ters first,BUT!!! If that happens... Then kiss my ...well I say take the foot off the brakes and its hammer down!! None of this let's worry about our next opponent bull crap, by then we will know our team and have an idea whether we are for real or not...

I totally agree with this. Why are so many people scared of expectations? What if the team has this mindset? We have turned the corner and the future looks bright. Whether we lose AK, CS or JRM, it doesn't matter. We have talent everywhere now. Its our time to shine. The rest of the college football world had better take notice because our brakes gave out. There is no slowing down now!

Don't believe in curses or that Fla has some special hold on us. The more we act as if that's true the more power it has though.

I can appreciate the sentiment of frustration and have my own. This year's loss was one of the hardest I've had since being a grown ass man but we're going to take care of business in every game we play. From an objective standpoint Fla is not the center of our world.

I still want to stomp snot from 'em though. :)

We can't let our beaten down Vol fan syndrome spoil the fun.:rock::rock:

Jake, THINK about these things my friend and lose the constant worry about floriDUHHH.

This season our O evolved into a smashmouth, power running team and it was the BEST we've had in 50 years.

In the oUTback bowl we SAW some new plays used that got our TE's more involved in the passing game and that WILL evolve a lot more by next season which is why buTch brought in a new TE coach that's really great with TE's and he's also a really good recruiter in floriDUHHH where there's a huge pool of top talent.

Our O line WILL improve their pass blocking by next season too so our passing game WILL improve simply because Dobbs will have more time to find his open TE or WR, set his feet and make a better pass.

If Dobbs finally improves his long passing then our O will become a beast that's really hard to stop and can score fast like we saw a few times this season.

If our D had made 1 more stop against Oklahoma, floriDUHHH and alaBubba we would have Won those 3 games and most likely been in the playoffs this season.

Now buTch is making a major chance with a new D coordinator and you can bet that our good D will probably become a great D by next season and a great D wins Championships.

Step 1 is to WIN every game before the floriDUHHH game and when we play those Gators you can bet that buTch will be ready and his foot will never come off the gas.

I hate losing any game as much or more than most people but I can SEE what buTch is doing so I'm actually calm and confident about next season because if we don't have any major injuries every team we play next season is going to run into a Big Orange train coming at them full steam ahead.

Relax and enjoy what IS coming because we're all going to love it!
