Haha...Like I said, we have a few Homers..but most are realistic. Pitt always has our number, no matter the talent on the team. And true...most are not worried about Tennessee..just because they are SEC. We need baby steps of re-building..concentrate on just winning the division first! I'm just assuming based on your quote, you were in the thread referring to the Vegas Line! 11.5 is a pretty high number and I believe VT covers with a 10 point loss...that's why there not worried about Tennessee on that thread. Trust Me...realistic VT fans know that Tennessee is Loaded this year...but stranger things have happened...that's what makes the game of football so GREAT!
I actually found another thread with some Tennessee posts in it.
Not saying they are any crazier than a lot of our fans, but come on, they were talking about how your JUCO QB ran for 200 and threw for 200......in the Liberty Bowl? They were saying this thinking it will be the same against us. Do they not actually watch football outside of their own team. Did they not see the 45 - 6 beat down we put on the #13 team in the country. Do they not know that our QB.....and one of our RB's are on the Heisman watch list?
I understand thinking you'll beat the spread (I personally don't think you will) as a fan, I understand wanting/hoping/thinking your team can/will win (UT fans have had to deal with our share of that over the last several years), but seriously......We have the third most experienced team in the country. The most experienced P5 team. We'll probably lose 5 - 8 (maybe more) to the NFL next year.
My prediction: VT keeps it close for a bit, but in the end UT wins by 14 - 17 pts.
JMO though. :hi:
