They return 10 starters on offense. Of course the one they have to replace is the QB, but their entire offensive line is either JRs or SRs.

The defense is the question mark. They only return 4 starters from last year, but Martinez is gone and they have a new DC. If they can shore up that defense which was pretty bad last year, they will be a pretty good team. I would say probably 8 wins for them this year.

The line could make a big difference for them, but they just don't dazzle. Granted, I guess they don't need to.

Gauntlet of GT, Lafayette, Colorado and Idaho State out of conference.

EDIT: i went back and reviewed the schedule and I think we'll lose to Ole Miss. 3-5 in conference and 2-2 out of conference.

IF we can manage to get to 6 wins, i win $100.. yahoo.. if not, i owe some alabama fan the money.

1st. A) I have no money riding on it B) I always expect us to win every game and drink my sorrows away when we don't C) Prepared to do a lot of drinking this Fall D) Florida could be horrible on offense although their D will be the best in the East. No proven play makers on O and no #15 to bail them out E) Georgia is always supposed to be better than the last year but rarely lives up the hype. This year won't be any different F) USC does scare me cause Darth Visor is running out of time and they could pull out all the stops if their QB has matured like they say G) Kentucky and Vandy, haha, they'll still be Kentucky and Vandy. Although I do see UK making it to a decent bowl. F-Z) I honestly have no idea what we'll look like this year. I hear all the doom and gloom, but heard that last year too. Heard we weren't talented enough last year as well. No doubt we're sorely lacking in depth but the talent of the starters is still there in my humble opinion. I'm a couch coach like everyone else on here which means I really don't have clue what will happen but definitely looking forward to watching it play out. GO VOLS!!

Florida has so much talent they only position this year that they probably won't get the same production is QB, yet they have a kid who people thinks can be a 1st round pick if he plays well. Florida is that loaded. They'll definitely win this division. Hell they don't have to be that good, just good enough this year.

I think it'll come down to the final game between us and UK for 4th and 5th in the East, and I have a bad feeling this will finally be their year. We all know it's going to happen sooner or later.

If Dooley finishes ahead of UF, UGA, or USCe he should be extended immediately. I can't remember a time when UT was this thin on talent, depth and had the schedule that they have this coming season. I'm a little optimistic but better than fourth in the east is outstanding this season.

You really have nothing but assumptions on that. People call the 1st placers idiots for doing the same exact thing you and everyone else is. Sure they seem loaded but that doesn't mean they will do well in college. It's something that is incredibly hard to consistently predict. It's also stupid to call out any on giving their opinion like it's lesser.

We don't know what Dooley will put on the field. And we don't know how we will look. If there was a year to be down and still have a shot it's this one. Too many unknown variables for everyone. Not just us. I just can't wait for football to start and to cheer on the vols in Athens.

2nd is going to be what im going with and im sticking with it, i will admit, 3rd is the more realistic option though.
