No one has played fla as tough as we have... None one has scored the points on Ga like we did... No one this year has scored 20 on MSU this year but UT. We scored 13 on bama, only 2 other teams have done this. We did what no one else has done against the elite in the SEC. Yes we lost those games. We did it with less talent then those who have been in place for severeal years and couldn't. We won the games we were expected to win and lost the one's we were expected to lose. We are right where everyone said we would be at the begining of the season. Dont lose faith, rebuilding takes time.

I'm with you OP. You're about to get eaten alive (Negavols are in heaven right now with all the losses and they are all over VN because of it), but I agree with you

The amount of bad I've seen this season sure does outweigh the good. A lot of the in-game coaching decisions had me thinking BigVolDaddy would be better down on the sideline then what we have.

And negavol? If wanting a better coach to take us back to being the winning UT program we should be is a negavol?....then hell yea I'm a negavol.

LSU? A&M? Hell, Bowling Green and Vanderbilt lost by smaller margins than UT did.

None one has scored the points on Ga like we did...

Yeah, Buffalo, Missouri, Florida Atlantic, Vanderbilt, Kentucky...those are some real offensive juggernauts right there.

No one this year has scored 20 on MSU this year but UT.

False. Troy scored 24 on them.

We scored 13 on bama, only 2 other teams have done this.

One of them is Ole Miss. Who cares? Since when is scoring 13 points something to brag about?

We did what no one else has done against the elite in the SEC.

See above.

Yes we lost those games. We did it with less talent then those who have been in place for severeal years and couldn't.

We're in Year 3. Why is there still such a talent gap between us and the top of the SEC? Can't possibly be because Dooley has been out-recruited...naw, that's just crazy talk.

We won the games we were expected to win and lost the one's we were expected to lose. We are right where everyone said we would be at the begining of the season. Dont lose faith, rebuilding takes time.

Most people here were predicting 8 or 9 regular season wins. A loss tomorrow already eliminates this from even being a possibility and we still have a month of football to go.

There is no such thing as a moral victory man. You are reaching for something that is not there. We played GA tough and that's the only game we have done that and coaching blew the GA game for us.

Exactly man this is ridiculous. There comes a point where you win one or two of these games how can you say you are going in the right direction if you are still loosing. Most Dooley supporters are really reaching for something instead of waking up. Yeah there should be a gap after 3 years but to be honest I think that gap will forever be there as long as Dooley is here cause he gets out recruited continuously and he continues to waste scholly on players that should be walk-on status.

As was stated in another thread..."A squirrel finds a nut once in awhile". You would think Dooley would have won at least one game against a ranked team in 3 years (almost) by luck alone.

Haters will always hate, especially the CDD haters that can't get over it.

OVERexpectors will always overexpect, especially all those that were overmotivated and not realistic that predicted 8, 9 or 10 Wins this season that can't admit they were simply wrong and say so.

Coaches will always be blamed, especially by unrealistic people that can't see the players making the mistakes on the field or the Bray lovers that can't believe that Bray would change the play at the line to run what he wants to run.

Unrealistic people will always be unrealistic, especially those that can't evaluate the player rosters of the top SEC teams and see 40 to 50 or more future NFL players on those rosters and can't look at our Roster and see we have 1/2 or less of the number of players that will play in the NFL by the time they graduate.

Most of the time people on here see what they CHOOSE to see, let their emotions dictate what they want to see and post things based on emotions rather that a complete, thorough analysis of what's really taking place and what our realistic options are.

We have mostly the same players as we had last year so I'll never understand how so many people saw 8 to 10 Wins this season from basically the same kids that Lost to kenSucky last season and without Da'rick on our team.

CDD brought is some really good JUCO players like McCullers and Patterson and we're lucky to get them away from many other schools that went after them but it's rare that a JUCO player will come into the SEC and make monster contributions in their very 1st SEC season much less in the first half of the season.

Every real Tennessee fan wants to Win and win lots of games and to win lots of games right NOW and we all understand that.

Without a player roster that can matchup on the field with the best of the SEC then it's just not realistic to expect to Win against the best in the SEC until we have close to the same number of future NFL players as those other teams have.

Is our roster getting better...YES because we have 18 to 20 future NFL players on our roster now with just the first 2 recruiting classes that CDD has brought it but we're just not there yet.

Emotions don't make rational, analytical posters and really young people don't often look at all situations and options realistically but this is VN so have fun and don't believe alot of what you read on here, LOL.

Hell no.

You're very delusional. We are looking worse and worse as the game goes on. The play calling on both sides of the ball is atrocious. We are out coached every time the 2nd half hits. I can go on and on. Rebuilding or not, Dooley IS the problem. The longer we keep him, the longer we go down the "rebuilding" path.

And to those that say we were over expecting, what the hell are you talking about? Bray said during the SEC media day that Tennessee was going to surprise some folks. Did that mean going 3-4 and soon to be 3-5 going into November? Dooley bragged a bunch about this team too and we're no better and maybe worse than last year!

Awesome post... Irrational, unrealistic, uneducated, short-sighted, emotional people are always the loudest and angriest when things don't go how they envisioned them going... There is no immediate fix all, the best remedy is patience...

But... But... Kentucky... And... We lost to Alabama again... I know, I know... Let's all try to be rational, realistic in our expectations, educate ourselves fully, and look at the big picture logically... I know that's hard for the majority, and some try-hards are going to come up with some quips in response, but I'm glad atleast some of you are "get it" people...

Lets look at other fbs teams that have been in our shoes , one I can see with similar problems (but hasn't hit our road block) is Texas, long time NC contender, now in a slump. What about Notre Dame ?? They lost that chubby joke of a coach and now they're ranked #5!! It took them 5 plus years to get back in the BCS standings. They went through coaches , players , but now they're making a comeback. We are TENNESSEE , what else can we do to boost recruits interest ? ND had their highest recruiting class in decades 2 years ago , we're in the SEC, it's tougher.

If you can't even think of 3 Vols on our roster that will be playing in the NFL by the time they graduate from Tennessee then you're not a Tennessee fan or you don't know our player roster very well.

Is Trolling really fun for you?

Let me help you a tiny bit and...speaking of Tiny, how about Tiny Richardson, or the tiny little guy on our D line, Dan McCullers, sentimore, Randolpy, Bray, Hunter, Patterson, Maggitt, AJ, Stone and 2 or 3 or more on our O line, ect, ect.

Thinking before posting may help sometimes, LOL.

He is the problem you can no long blame youth and inexperience players so what is it now. He hasn't been a good HC no matter where he has been. Tell me what past player ever sings praise to Dooley. Non I have heard ex players bash him though.
