I thought I had a wild guess...(vols2345 @ Feb 5 said:well as long as we are making wild predictions
12-0
foster breaks the school rushing record
hardesty steps up to complement foster over coker
the o-line jells
the d-line is going to be almost as good as last year with less personal fouls
that secondary will be unstoppable
wide recivers get the head out of there butt and catch balls thanks to trooper
cutliffe brings back the pass to the tight end and ainge gets his head on straight
we lose the national championship to oklahoma 21-24 on a pass intefernce on d-mo that puts them in field goal range to kick the winning field goal..
adrian peterson wins the heisman and proves to be too much for us...
Heres another thing to throw out there RealVol, playing at Neyland Stadium is not a gimme win anymore. The real key for their season will be that opener against Cal. We win that one and it is a real momenum builder for the upcoming conference games. We lose that one and Knoxville will be in flames and the coaching staff leaves the country. :tease2: :naughty:(RealVol @ Feb 5 said:I think Volhill.....has it down.
LSU is loaded & I feel Coach LM grew up decades last season. UF will be just as loaded, UM certainly grew up as well, but I feel Tebow (? splg) will become their fresman qb & that may help us. UGA is certainly down talentwise & very beatable. I feel they too will probably have a true freshman qb. Of course, it appears not to matter, Richt seems to generally "outcoach" Fulmer regardless. It appears no one here is concerned about SOS IN Columbia? Duh....
Of course the likes of Air Force (at Neyland) Memphis (thank goodness we didn't have to play them fully loaded this PAST season) Vanderbilt (will be experiementing qb position after losing THE BEST QB in the SEC) Alabama not fully recovered from probation (& w/o Protro & Crowley) Ark (w completely new o staff, new qb) Marshall (naturally @ Neyland) and of course KY (w Sanders @ Neyland) are what they are...
Cal is a big question mark, and of course it too will be played @ Neyland.
Nuts of it all...a very weak schedule and how will we do against the leagues 3 Big Boys. Almost a disgrace to think we don't have that same respect isn't it? If SOS beats us again, it will be doubly so. Or would that be 4, 5, 6 times worse?
Behind Auburn, LSU, uf, UGA, possibly AL and SC would be VERY difficult to swallow.
For those thinking, if that indeed proves to be true. And looking at UT selecting Coach Cut as a replacement , ponder this:
Coach O at ole Miss for sure just out recruited UT. His squad this past season was more impressive than any team Cut ever presented, pls bear in mind with a heck of a lot less talent than Cut had.
C'mon can't we think outside the Orange Box?
(bleedingorange @ Feb 5 said:Guys when it comes right down to it none of us dont really know sh@# about that football team. Its easy for me to say they will go 7-5, and another poster to say they will go 10-2. Bottom line is none of us know whats going to happen. They could go 12-0 and they could go 6-6 or anything between. If the discipline, execution, and the motivation to win as a team is there we should be alright, but thats not been there in quite a few years, so lets all just argue and bicker back and forth until September and we will see the outcome. :aggressive: :aggressive: :aggressive: :aggressive:
