Prayers scent to Rachel Maddow and also the WaPo reporter that wrote this brutal column.

That was a Democratic Party debate, though, and none of the candidates objected to her being there. Rachel Maddow is a very liberal Democrat. As long as she hasn't endorsed one of the candidates (she hasn't) there would be no reason to suspect she couldn't moderate a Democratic Party debate in an objective manner. Once again, the Democratic National Committee has to approve of all moderators and any of the candidates can opt to have a moderator dismissed. None of them did.

Rachel doesnt care who wins as lomg as its a dem. So she can ask the same questions to all the candidates with no issue

Because an educated society is a more productive society? Studies have shown that an educated populace has less unemployment, higher tax revenue, lower dependence on public assistance, reduced crime, higher political and civic engagement and improved public health.

The question is, why wouldn't everyone want to have an educated population?

Correct, that why Starbucks has no employment issues. Is it really an education if you're getting degrees in women's studies or philosophy?

Free education sounds good but it doesn't help someone getting a job when suddenly you have 10, 20x more people applying for that same job. An employer can pay less because people would be willing to work for less. Supply and demand applies to the work force too

Seems LG, EVol and a few other lefties are smarter than their lefty friends who have posted on this thread. The ones defending her and comparing her to Hannity as their only defense is weak.

She is smart, it's completely evident if you've listened to her on pretty much any subject - that you disagree with her philosophical or political lean is irrelevant to that reality. I don't care for her and think she's just as much of a shill as hannity is for the right, but she's both educated and 'smart' - one would have to be either stupid or butthurt to recognize that.
Those mouth pieces have an army of producers who write the narrative. Let her and Sean debate.

Nah, you're wrong.

Just because the alt-right has demonized higher education as a liberal spawning ground - it has no basis in the reality that an educated society is better than a non-educated one. If you want to cherry-pick areas of studies to make yourself feel better about your belief, by all means do so - it won't change the fact that you're still wrong.

You're confused - Sean's not that bright, he shouts down his dissenters. Though, that probably impresses you.
