Prayers for Pat Summitt

May God bless you for many more good years. My Mother has Dementia and full blow Alzheimer now.I know how bad this disease is Prayers for you and your family Miss Summitt.

My families thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Having been through this with family members before I know the road they are about to take and it is not easy.

Great respect for her and her program. I remember going to a game when I was a teenager when her lady Vols came to Missoula. Of course, she had a very good and very impressive team, but she also had a very classy and very diciplined team. I remember her being gracious enough to sign autographs and talking to fans after the game. Very cool. Saddened to hear about her health and send my prayers. One of the best basketball minds in the history of the game, men or women.

I have a heavy heavy heart and I am trying to search for the right words to say. There are not enough adjectives to describe what she has meant to the UT family, and there isn't enough adjectives to describe this wonderful legend, and finally there aren't enough adjectives to tell her how sad I am for her and her family. My prayers will be said everyday for her. YOU ARE UT PAT!!

no single person has done more for this university than Pat. She has been the picture of stability when everything has been changing at this university. Many prayers tonight.

First off this is horrbile news for her and her family... that being said we all know how determined she is and how much of a fighter CPS is and it would not surprise me at all to see her fight and beat this diease. My prayers and thoughts go out to her and her family. We need to rally around her and give her all the support that she needs and can stand!!

My thoughts and prayers are with my hero, her family, and the UT family. On facebook, there is an event called "Wear Orange to Support Pat Summitt." On Friday, anyone who wants to can wear orange to support and show Pat that we have her back. There are over 13,000 people attending this event as of now. Let's try to double or triple it! Go Lady Vols and we love you, Pat!

When Pat Summitt finally steps down as the Lady Vols coach, this is the thing I'm going to miss the most... Every year, no matter how bad the football team was or the baseball team or the men's basketball team, I could ALWAYS count on Coach Summitt to provide a winning Lady Vols team to pull for. It was as absolute and definite a thing as I have ever put confidence in. When that's gone, it will be hard to adjust to.

Coach Summitt, you are a true VFL and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for having the absolute privilege to watch you represent our University both on and off the court in such a gracious, professional manner!

I don't think she ever should. I think her chair should remain hers as long as she wants to sit in it. It may be that UT has to hire a coach in waiting and additional assistants, but whatever needs to be do to keep the team going. However, I would hope they would keep Pat's seat on the bench open for her anytime she wants to sit in it.
