Which one is peanut butter? Might have missed that.

Beautiful , and that hair!
I have relentlessly straight baby-fine hair and kept trying to get curls, waves, body, SOMETHING.

I finally gave up after a body perm made my hair look like Angela Davis’s. (I kept telling them that they needed to take down a test curl, but nooo...)

All my life, exact opposite, I’ve always had curly and wanted it straight. Humility was the worst for my hair. Like you, I finally gave up.

As long as he likes it, you’re in the good.
Well, I do have to say that when either hubs said something along the lines of “why don’t you do thus and so with your hair”, I immediately replied, “why don’t you do that with your hair, and we’ll see how it works out?”

Hubs 2 only said it once and Got It immediately, which (among many many many other reasons, all more important) is why he’s The Keeper. Hubs 1 never grasped that. Bless his heart. 1554607088975.gif

Hubs 1, is probably still trying to figure it out. They never do. Sounds like you have a keeper in the #1 now (that is what he is).

Clink of the wine glass on that, we’ve all had that problem. 😏, or some of us have.
I blame myself for H1. If I’d had my head screwed on straight, it wouldn’t have happened.

It’d have been nice if I’d had the insight/ guidance/ whatever to have approached marriage properly, instead of a “sure, why not”, but no point in weeping over water under the bridge.

What’s important is that I learned from my mistakes, Keeper learned from his, we developed realistic expectations from one another, and grew a sense of humor, and now we’re doing it right. I had to forgive myself for not being perfect before being able to forgive others for failing the same impossible standard.

I know, life slows down some when we get older (thank goodness and thank God for that). I also had to forgive myself, even when it was hard, absolutely hard to do so, but eventually learned it was ok to be myself who I am and just be happy.
