whatever we may collectively think of the gators, let's put that aside for a while and send prayers and good thoughts for the people of Florida. Looks like they're in for a rough time.

Thank you, you may not realize it but that means a lot. Especially after last year when LSU fans and administrators basically took the approach that Florida was "scared to play."

Really appreciate the class UT fans are showing.

Was actually thinking of posting something similar. I'm all about a good sports rivalry but when lives can be ruined or even lost...that's just another thing altogether.

I gotta say....I was really expecting a Paul Bain or Rod Wilks comment of some sort. But yeah, best wishes to everyone dealing with those storms

We all hate the Gators with a passion but it's times like these that remind you it's just a game! Stay strong Florida and prayers!

Thoughts and prayers for all that are in harms way. This looks like a very evil storm and I'm sure that we will continue to show our volunteer spirit when all is over and help with the needs of our friends in the Sunshine State.

Many of us have family and friends down there. Many of us vacation down there. Many of us don't know what it's like to lose everything. Hope everyone stays as safe as possible.

Latest runs show the state being zippered right up the middle. Can't ever have to many prayers :)

Prayers for everyone and their families and thanks to all giving kind thoughts!

Moved out of S. FL a little over a year ago, so my thoughts and prayers are with my friends and everyone else still down there. My parents made their way out and to TN this morning and said they've never seen traffic like that before.

Well, if a few folks from down there decided to be A-Holes then, that doesn't mean we should be now.

Baton down, Florida. And everybody that can, get out of that things path.

I live on the East coast of Florida on Merritt Island. We are going to stay now that it has shifted west but one thing I would day is that there are a TON of Tennessee fans here as well. So, it's not just Gator fans, FSU, or Miami fans these are all human beings and prayers so go out regardless of what sports team is rooted for. Heck I am also praying for GA and TN as this thing moves north.

Florida may be my most hated rival but at the end of the day it's just a damn game. My heart goes out to all my brothers and sisters in Florida. Be safe and well. If you are able to get out please do so.

Here's hoping the damage is minimal and if there's a group of people that can take it on the chin from a hurricane and rise back up it's Floridians. Godspeed Gatornation

Ok, but if that thing actually devastates the state it will take more than thinking about it. Actual acts surpass pleasant thoughts every time. Every time. I will most likely be in texas sometime later this month. Was in Baton Rouge last year helping to clean up that flood. Again , not to take anything away from you here OP, just saying that actions speak louder than words. Anything you can physically do to help would be much appreciated!

My neighbor is from Sarasota, and I just spoke to her. She's extremely worried about her family and friends, as she should be. I wish nothing but the best for all of them.

Latest NHC track cone update shifted west some. Good for Miami (though this puts them in the worst quadrant for storm surge), bad for the Keys.

Now looking more likely that the gulf coast of Florida could take the heaviest blows as it works its way up the state.

DD, get out of the water and turn on your television. :)
