Amazing photo!

This is similar to what happened to Cuonzo Martin. and reportedly he found out in much the same way as EB (according to the sports animal reports).

lymphoma is very treatable....Praying for EB and his family.

When treated early, Chiro. When not, God forbid, it's one of the deadliest. Heard this going home last evening when it broke on 104.5 and the hosts were choking up. Been saying prayers ever since....

Thoughts and prayers from College Station to Berry and the Vol family. I'm sure y'all are sad about that too.

Followed his career & assume he's a good dude. Hate to see him sidelined by Somethig like this.

Merge away but I wanted y'all to know we're thinking of him here in Aggieland.

You are a class act, my friend. Many thanks from the VolNation for your concern. FYI, I've been an Aggie fan since the days of John David Crowe and his collision with Vol tailback Bobby Gordon in 1958.

VOL NATION, PLEASE SHARE THIS: For those attending Saturday's game, at the end of the 1st quarter, we will start the Eric Berry chant. At that time, raise your hands in the air, use one finger on your right hand and four on your left. We want this loud and proud for EB! Share this and spread the word! ‪#‎Pray4EB‬

Will be there in spirit, JCP and doing what your asking in front of my T.V. Please, make this happen, ya'll.

My 9 year olds offered a prayer up to him tonight. My boys are twins also and adore the Berry twins. Eric however is their favorite player.

They were very upset to hear the news and dedicated our family prayers to him tonight. I had nothing to add after they finished.

God bless you and your dear sons. The power of prayer has worked during the most trying times of my life, as I know it has for many....

Not sure about that. I have a lot of knowledge about it. It is regarded as one of the most treatable and least damaging chemos out there. If it is aggressive, that sounds bad, but it's actually good. It's a blood cancer so it is very susceptible to the chemo. Anywhere it is, it is struck. Results are usually great even after the first scans. These are often even cured.

Now if it is indolent and slow growing. These type are even treatable in stage 4. They usually aren't "cured" but they do go away for years at a time. They are slow growing so generally the chemo isn't quite as good at keeping them permanently away. They can even take the watch an wait approach. I heard an oncologist say "indolent lymphoma is more like a disease you live your life with, like high blood pressure."

In this case it sounds aggressive. The outcome also determines on the shape the patient is in. Which is great in this case. It's a bumpy road, but compared to other cancers it is definitely doable especially for someone in great shape.

I haven't posted much in a while here, but just had to post my prayers for EB. He's such a class act and so much a part of the Volunteer spirit that lives in all of us.

Beat this one, Eric!

There are too many NFL receivers, present and future, who need to know what it feels like when you meet them coming across the middle... and way too many of your own fans who need that 'fix' every NFL Sunday (minus a bye week).

Godspeed! :hi:

I honestly believe Eric is too strong mentally and physically to let this beat him. I pray for him and his family to make it through this (Hopefully) small chapter of their lives. #Berrystrong

I have complete confidence Eric Berry will beat this just like he slobber knocked Tim Tebow in 2009. Prayers with EB and his family. The entire Berry family = VFL #1 family.

This is true. I myself am a Stage 4 survivor of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. My last treatment was 14 years ago, and I am in better health now, than ever. A lot of people prayed for me, and I know God answered those prayers. And Eric Berry will be in my prayers, because I know it works.

It also depends on the type of lymphoma, which as far as I know, has not been stated. if it is Hodgkin's disease, the percentage of cures is quite high. Non-Hodgkin's, which is what I had, is slightly lower, but still reasonably good. But there are at least 14 different types of Non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, as well.

But he is strong, has faith, and a lot of people praying. I'd say he will be just fine.
