Prayers for Eric Berry UPDATE diagnosis is Hodgkin lymphoma

As a cancer survivor myself, I remember the uncertainty and fear at that time of diagnosis. Eric has joined a team no one wants to be a member of.

Yet, I pray he feels that orange aura of brotherhood (and the sistahs!) whose positive thoughts and prayers will surround him as he journeys through this fight.

Lymphoma is a treatable/beatable cancer and, hopefully, a real blessing that it has been caught at this time with the first symptoms of discomfort. Not unusual for athletes to realize "something not quite right" before doctors find it.

I could not have lived without the love and support of family, friends, strangers who joined me in the fight.

Believe me, at some time, he will come back to these messages; re-read the encouragement, be grateful for the prayers.

Above all, he will offer his own prayer of gratitude for that sense of belonging that never goes away--VFL.

Thoughts and prayers from College Station to Berry and the Vol family. I'm sure y'all are sad about that too.

Followed his career & assume he's a good dude. Hate to see him sidelined by Somethig like this.

Merge away but I wanted y'all to know we're thinking of him here in Aggieland.

I pray for God's healing hand to grasp Mr. Berry firmly in his grip of healing and love.

#29 will absolutely destroy this thing. Lymphoma picked the wrong dude.

Get well soon, EB. Prayers for you and all of those who surround you.

--Prayers for him and family. We love you!

Sucks how bad things always seem to happen to good people. Any type of cancer is no joke and everybody on this earth has been directly impacted by it in some way through relatives and friends. Hoping Eric can beat this thing. If he can attack this like he does opposing players, he should be able to overcome it. God Bless and praying for a quick recovery.

I'll never forget a tweet EB sent out after he finished surgery on his torn ACL a few years back. "Just got outta surgery, forgot to tell the doctor I bleed Orange". I've loved watching his career develop and pray he beats this thing

Sorry the link didnt post right. Copy and paste it, says a lump was found in his chest. His season his done. Lymphoma is serious, best wishes to EB14

Sucks to hear. Lymphoma is one of the most curable types of cancer. If there is any cancer you would "want" to get, it's one of them. The chemo regimen used for it is very mild compared to most. Also sometimes it can be taken care of with one single drug instead of a whole cocktail of them.

We in this big orange family believe in the healing power of Jesus. Fight Eric and when you feel weak, He is strong and will carry you thru the fire. Prayers and faith in your total healing.
