I would like to ask for all the prayers you and everyone you know can send up.

My Father-in-law, Robert Lancaster, is having triple heart bypass surgery tomorrow at Vanderbilt.

He's almost 79 years old and is very weak right now so we're all worried and very scared about the outcome.

Please send up prayers for him and tell everyone you know to also be kind enough to take a minute and send up a prayer for him.

THANK YOU to all my great Tennessee Vol brothers and sisters for helping us with this.

May God always bless you all.

STOP!!!!!!!!! You think I am kidding but I am not. My younger brother had heart surgery years ago and I was with him when he was talking(consultation) to the surgeons that would do the surgery. First stop Vanderbilt, a Dr. Shoemaker or some guy that came from California. At first they discussed hert transplant, 20% moratlity rate, needed to do surgery immediately. Well, we left there and he got a second opinion at St. Thomas. Dr. Seskin (sp) consulted with us. What they do is put you on medicatins to make you heart as strong as possible (2-3 months) and then proceed with the surgey when you obtain a lot lower mortality rate and have a lot better chance of making it. I know God got my brother through it no doubt but DR. Aaron at St. Thomas who gives you the meds is very intelligent and can get uour heart a lot stronger to with stand a surgery even tho he is a Auburn alum. Sorry so long, but having witnessed this I had to throw out my bro's experience. 12 years later he is doing great (thankfully).
