He kinda had to, considering the ball wasnt gonna make it to Croom. He jumped up in front of the pile of pups and snatched it out of the air before they got a chance to knock it down. Absolutely the right move and lets not forget that theres not a perfect plan for a Hail Mary.
I'd be willing to bet that J.J. never intended to not do what he was supposed to do. I believe he saw the flight of the ball and went up and made a play. (If you look after he catches the ball Croom was behind him.) All J.J. did here was be an athlete and make a play for us.
Never said I was offended. All I was saying was I don't like when players go rogue and decide to do their own thing on the field. I celebrating this as much as anyone did and I am glad he made the play.
I assume that was the case as well. The article seems to paint it a little differently.
You are clearly completely missing the point. Carry on your laughing and keep complaining when they don't win because guys do whatever they feel like on the field. If players weren't conditioned to do their jobs on this play, I am sure it was happening on many other plays as well.
In this instance, I would hope that the coaches told him great job for making that catch and winning the game, but you need to do your job next time which wasn't to be the one jumping up to make the catch.
If he had failed to do what he did, we would have lost the game. The ball was under-thrown and would have never made it to where Chrome was located. He would have to have interfered with three Georgia players who were between him and where the ball came down.
hahahahahahahaha *breathes* hahahahahahahaha...
Yeah he shoulda just let it sail. Winning is so selfish.
Everyone is missing his point. He is speculating that if this play was a microcosm of how players treated their responsibilities under Jones, then that could further demonstrate problems he had as a HC.
It seems like it was designed to goto the back of the end zone but it didn't have enough flight to get back there so that's probably why croom was behind the defenders and Jennings who jumped in front got the ball. That's how it should have been set up to begin with.
Umm....look friend I am not one to tell others how to live their lives. That being said, you might want to cut back on the solvent sniffing. The damage it causes is not only terrible it's permanent.Jennings so overrated..2 good games his whole career and this fan base thinks he is the best thing since slice bread..
I think it was setup to have jennings to one side to make the defense think it was going to that side and then throw the ball to croom on the other side to trick them into not putting their best players into position. However croom was near the back of the end zone and dobbs pass never made it back there to begin with so if jennings wouldn't have went to the front of the endzone it would have been an interception.Does he mean to say the hail mary was thrown to one individual? That sounds like Butch Jones. My recollection was all receivers go to the same point in the end zone and the QB throws it high, simple as that.
Salute? Fine. I'll anoint him when he makes it through the season without suspension, lives to his potential, and acts like he has some off-field sense.
Until then...:zeitung_lesen:
