"My info is coming from multiple sources around the team and people who measured everyone on the roster two months ago after the summer for roster purposes. In no way trying to disparage Aunt Darol, great lady. But the info is legit"
That's a myth.
With 28 years of head coaching experience, Barnes is more than qualified to provide the proper instruction. As the head coach at Texas last year, Barnes' Longhorns team ranked fourth in the nation in field-goal percentage defense, holding opponents to just 36.8 percent shooting. In contrast, opponents shot 43.9 percent against Tennessee last season.
So much for proponents of the Terror D.
First I've stepped in this thread in a good long while. Suspicions confirmed as to why avoiding it was a good decision.
Seems to me like Rob Lewis is playing both sides to me...at least if I understand the screenshots vs. what BTO quoted originally.
It was the wording in BTO's OP that started this. Rob was referring to the following and not his quote:
"Rob Lewis called Aunt Darol (aka Auntie D) out by name and said that while she's a great lady she's lying about the leg thing. McGhee has been measured by multiple people around the program, and minus the hair he legitimately is 6'5" and one of his legs is in fact 2" shorter than the other."
Rob wasn't playing both sides. He just didn't appreciate the connotation of BTO's statement that was suppose to summarize his quote that was posted in the snapshot. It was typical BTO twisting words to imply other meanings, like saying Rob called me liar. SMH:no:
It's over and done with and I hope we can move forward and stay focused on the team and how they will play on the court.
Meh, I don't really care tbh. Crap like this whole discussion is just the norm around here anymore.
One thing everyone can agree on is that basketball season can't get here soon enough so that we can start at each others throat over actual stuff like playing time, who played well, who sucked, etc. At least then the vitriol is basketball related and not focused on heights, leg length, etc.
"We have a real bad tendency right now to stand and watch," Barnes said. "I told the guys, if they want to do that, they should have the best seat, which is on the bench where they want to watch."
Love this. Our guys need to get after it on defense, and that is definitely an area of expertise for CRB.
