Practice updates for Tuesday? Anyone?

Kiffin doesn't look down to me. I have seen him a lot in interviews with major bags under his eyes and looking exhausted. He's putting in some major effort

Is it just me, or does Kiffin seem kind of down in this video? I'm not trying to be negative, just making an observation. He seems upset over something. Could it be he's upset over Gordon, or is he just tired from working so hard???

Good observation. I noticed something too. I think its probably lack of sleep and stress.....Layla needs to get on her A game, if you know what I mean????:whistling:

Wes Brown is always closedly followed by the words "limped off"... If he plays and gets through two games, it will be a miracle.

RE Kiffin being tired: I'm sure he is--and the pressure he's under now is nothing compared to what it will be in the future--during the season and in subsequent seasons in the meat-grinder that is the SEC. That's why Phil "we'll have to look at the videotape" Fulmer was a bumbling loon in recent years--the man was totally fried for years. It's a huge job, which is why having an outstanding staff is paramount.

Too much Red Bull will get you. You have to get a break from that stuff...

He has said that he's been watching the tape of practice very late into the night...

Kiffin called Williams unblockable.

I thought he was gonna be stud last year. He looked like a beast. Once he got cleard to play I thought it was on. They barely got him on the field. Not sure if that was his or the staff's fault.

Yeah I noticed this as well. It could be that he's just exhausted. It could be frustration because the team is not progressing the way he wants. It could be both, who knows. Not a bad thing, he just has high expectations for the program and right now they may not be performing at a championship level. I think that is what Kiffin expects and demands and "we don't have the talent" is just not going to be a good enough excuse for him.

One thing to keep in mind though, is that Williams is facing the weak spot of our OL (RT). Williams is definitely impressing though which is very good news and maybe he can live up to his 34 stars that he accumulated over the years.

I understand what you are saying, but it is the same guys Ben Martin was facing and I haven't heard Kiffin say Martin has been unblockable. GW must be a a beast. Too bad our staff last year couldn't figure out how to use him. Duh!

Had the opportunity to visit practice Tuesday. They were inside due to different storm fronts predicted to come through at practice time and the field being wet. I don't think that practice field drains very well. Observations from an untrained eye:

1. Anyone who doesn't run from station to station gets yelled at. Energy and Hustle can be seen everywhere you look.
2. Anyone who drops a pass drops to the ground and does 10 push-ups
3. Nukeese is very fast. They ran the Nu-gun several times and I just hope they don't have to run anything out of it until the FLA game so there is no film on it.
4. The second team offensive line needs loads of work. Stephens would have gotten killed in scrimmage conditions.
5. The first team offensive line looks good. Impressed that they are not coming out of their stance, jumping offsides, etc. Look like a unit and it is still so early.
6. G. Jones caught almost everything and all his catches are one handed. One time he caught it with one hand, cradled it against his body and fell backwards but held onto the ball. Went down mid way with what looked like a hamstring but I pray it was a cramp. They held him out the rest of the way.
7. For those who worry that Reaves is just taking up space, he is doing a lot of QB coaching in all the drills and 7 on 7. Lane is calling the plays when the total units are working but Reaves is constantly working on technique.
8. Monte is everywhere and is teaching constantly.
9. Both Brown and Oku are impressive but Poole showed a burst of speed that caused several standing near to me go wow.
10. And last but not least Ogeron can be heard from almost anywhere in the building.

Bonus: I shook hands with ex Clemson great Chester McClockton and told him he must be the only millionaire Intern currently in college ball today. He laughed but then Garza chimed in that Chester had to take a pay cut to go to the NFL. I said I wasn't going to go there as Chester is a big, big man!!!
