A couple quick notes from practice.

Rhiannon Potkey: The weekly sled drill video from #Vols practice. It's either that or stretching. https://twitter.com/TennesseeBeat/status/780877184944799744/video/1

Tennessee's number of green jersey's were reduced on Tuesday as cornerbacks Baylen Buchanan and Emmanuel Mosley were in non-contact work. Austin Smith, as has been the case since the start of camp, remains in green.

Plenty of work at linebacker for Cortez McDowell. Jalen Reeves-Maybin is expected to go according to head coach Butch Jones, but how much he can play will depend on his rehab this week.

Obviously, in the middle of a very difficult stretch of four SEC games against ranked opponents, Jones and the trainers are very mindful of that and are not going to beat guys up on the practice field.

On the offensive line, Chance Hall was full go on the practice field as Tennessee is expected to start the same five they started a week ago against Florida with Coleman Thomas likely to sit again except in an emergency situation.

One scout team note, ineligible receiver Vincent Perry is wearing #16 working as scout team receiver Isaiah McKenzie.
Hubbs

1) There were several drops during kickoff return drills. Among the players taking part were freshman Carlin Fils-Aime, sophomore Micah Abernathy and junior Evan Berry.

2) In the Circle of Life drill, redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Charles Mosley requested to go against junior defensive lineman Alexis Johnson.

3) Senior quarterback Joshua Dobbs and redshirt junior running back Alvin Kamara were the only two players at the front leading the stretching drills.

4) Among the players wearing green non-contact jerseys were sophomore defensive lineman Austin Smith, junior defensive back Emmanuel Moseley and freshman defensive back Baylen Buchanan.

Thanks Fingers. Glad to see they're prepping for McKenzie, he's their best weapon right now imo.

Thanks, as always, Fingers.

And dang, I always forget about Big Charles Mosley. I had high hopes for him. Guess he isn't going to turn out to be the stud I had hoped for.

Fat lady ain't singing yet...he was in a bad wreck so rehab may be more than just a normal recovery..

Yes, # 16 is Jim Chaney's chosen guy for this year. So, you better find him in the formation. Extremely shifty.

'The Human Joystick'.......Verne loves saying that! Will hear it 6-8 times on Saturday.

Requesting COL, is he trying to say put me in coach?

Reading this reminded me, has Alexis Johnson seen any snaps thus far?

If he doesn't play in the next three games and everyone else stays healthy, I'd rather they just redshirt him.

Was hoping he'd be a big contributor this year but I don't think we'll need him down the back stretch. SEC title game and bowl game might change all that though

Isn't that former KC Chief Dante Hall's nickname? What's the rule on stealing nicknames?

Tennessee Practice Notes: 9-27-16 | Rocky Top Insider

After an explosive comeback on Saturday, Butch Jones is doing everything he can to make sure that this team stays hot heading into Athens on Saturday.

Josh Dobbs and Sheriron Jones were both evident leaders in terms of that fast-paced tempo.

Sheriron making his move on #2 spot.

Can't help but root for the kid. Hoping JG is everything he's suppose to be but if SJ has the edge I'll happily cheer for him.
