Ga Tech even Cut Blocks on defense!
Stoerner is a good luck charm for us!
Give the man season tickets already!
Stoerner wasn't real lucky for us, when he shreded our defense and threw a game winning touchdown in a 28-24, Arkansas win in 1999. That loss, possibly cost us a chance to defend our '98 National Championship
"During individual periods, both the defensive line and defensive backs were working on fighting off cut blocks. Under the watchful eye of Brady Hoke, the linemen were shuffling side to side and giving two-hand shoves to pads laying on the ground and kept in place by a manager. The cornerbacks used their own teammates instead of pads as Charlton Warren barked out instruction.
Tennessees season opener against Georgia Tech is still months away, but its not too early to get a little bit of a head start in working on defending the unique triple-option offense the Yellow Jackets will throw at the Vols in Atlanta." -247
Glad we're already putting emphasis on this.
Excited to see what Picou can do this year. He has the potential to see a lot of snaps, and it seems he's finally gotten big enough to move from the "tweener" label to a legitimate inside player.
Agreed! This kid has the "want to" and has displayed it on and off the field since arriving, I'm expecting big things out of this youngster this season. And the "bring the boat in" interview he did the other day has me loving and really pulling for this kid. Hope he's able to take a big step forward this season.
