Practice Today

I have a question for ye practice attenders. Have they done enough yet to see how Bray's passes with receivers are? From the standpoint of hitting them in stride, where they want the ball, versus having to wait for them or stretch out to get them?

Also, just my two cents. IF something were to happen to our first string guy (I won't name him just in case) I don't think Simms would be the man very long. That guy always looks like he's waiting for a picture to be taken before he throws the ball.

I give Bray an A+ for accuracy yesterday. He was hitting every receiver perfectly in stride.

Hey guys - did you all just show up and they let you in or did you need some credentials? Little Red would love to go to a practice but I was under the impression they were closed.

It was hard to distinguish between Poole and Smith sometimes because the 28 and 29 look so similar. Poole did have one long run after he broke it to the outside during the early 11-on-11 drill.

Neal started out not very well. He tripped for a loss on his first carry, I remember that. However, he did make a few good catches out of the backfield and did make a few good moves to gain some extra yards.

Honestly, I thought Lane was the best back today, and that's not an insult to the other guys. Lane was just making great plays every time he touched the ball.
LOL This is why Neal is getting looks at WR. Lane and Poole may be the 1-2 punch in that order

Who was playing in the slot receiver position with the first team?

Was our defense just not tackling and missing assignments, or was Lane really THAT impressive?

Lane was very slippery yesterday. He kept breaking tackles even when 3 or 4 guys were on him. I hope that is because he is special and not because of the defense's terrible tackling.

Zach is Austin Rogers' little brother, not Da'Rick's. :hi:

But it would be stellar if Da'Rick had a little brother!

Lol, yeah I'm aware the white guy, and the black guy aren't brothers.

From everything I have heard Bray looked phenomenal in the 7 on 7 work, but a hair less accurate in other situations, but good nonetheless.

Was Bray looking off his receivers or starring them down. Great accurate young QB for us but i did notice he struggled looking off receivers before throwing some last year?

I know Lane had a significant injury his senior season. Which is why many programs quit recruiting him. This could be the break TN football needs to get back to the top. A runner than everyone gave up on! Heres to helping he stays healthy bc i'm sure Lane has a chip on his shoulder for some Fl teams.

How did the o line look? Any DBs not named Janzen stand out? Glad to hear we got a RB in Lane!
