Anyone with defensive questions ask..I was looking at them closely

Who are we playing at LB? Austin Johnson/Propst/King? Harris doing anything, or just getting lost behind Maggitt and AJ?

How about the newcomers on the DL and at DB?

Not surprising, but good news nonetheless. People forget how terrible the '09 offense was (outside of WKU) for the entire month of September.

I know. The offense was dreadful until the 2nd half of Auburn in '09. I remember watching Fall camp practices and watching the defense dominate and hoping it was just due to the fact that our defense was great. I remember shaking my head several times while Crompton and Stephens were under center during Fall camp. I'm glad Crompton was able to improve significantly during that season. Considering what he had been through, I was happy he had some moderate success during the 2nd half of the season.

Cool. That's two days in a row that we've heard good reports from pat.

Sounds like we're throwing our new LBs in the deep end right off the bat. If they can swim, I'm down with it.

I definitely agree with you on Lane and Bray. And Simms did not look good today. I was a little disappointed with Rodgers today. He dropped a couple of passes that he should've caught and also dropped a kickoff return. He seemed like he was not taking practice as seriously as the other receivers. I am excited to see his production on the field, but based on what I saw today, I wish he'd put more effort into practice.
Zach or Da'rick? I'm not sure which one's name is spelled with a d.

How did Fugate look?

Good question, and also, didn't someone say on here that they were going to try him at HB some this year too, especially on short yardage plays. Have they done that yet?

I believe that our success this year will be a lot better if he can pick up critical 3rd & shorts, dump off passes, & most importantly "pass protect"!

I have a question for ye practice attenders. Have they done enough yet to see how Bray's passes with receivers are? From the standpoint of hitting them in stride, where they want the ball, versus having to wait for them or stretch out to get them?

Also, just my two cents. IF something were to happen to our first string guy (I won't name him just in case) I don't think Simms would be the man very long. That guy always looks like he's waiting for a picture to be taken before he throws the ball.
