Poole has a sprained right ankle. He is walking with a noticeable limp.

Still no Oku at practice but the coaches don't seem worried. It is questionable if Oku returns. Just like all season, he is still in CDD's doghouse.

M. Hughes will need to bust his butt in school to stay eligible. He is really close to flunking out.

Keep your eyes open and watch for Meline, Simms, and Toney Williams to possibly transfer. If Oku leaves the team then Williams will probably stay. Simms really wants to leave but he doesn't have many options.

I know I am gonna catch hell for this one but Dooley could careless if Wilcox leaves, even if Wilcox sticks around for another year. Wilcox isn't planning on being here much longer.

Jackson still is in Louisiana. The coaches and team are hopeful he arrives in Nashville sometime Sunday. Fans should approach every game that Jackson plays as his last. Alot of people within the staff and team are surprised Jackson has made it this far. Jackson's situation is very interesting but I can't go into details.

Edit: Forgot to add that Wilcox is not the best recruiter. Chavis was hands down better. Wilcox doesn't seem to dedicate enough time to recruit the way he should.

Update 12/28. The Jackson situation seemed worse than what some people lead it off to be. I still stand behind what I said about Jackson in this post. Quite a bit of people inside the athletic department are mad at the one and only Jimmy Hymns. Jimmy reported that Janzen was sent home because of a failed drug test but that isn't the case. JJ's situation has nothing to do with him but has do with his family.

For Jackson's situation couldn't have came at a better time. The story came at a great time to take focus away from the big story. Anyone that has a legit source knows what I am talking about.

Thanks for the pick-me-up today Zasnow (sarcasm). Good to see you posting information whether good or bad.

Looks like there may be quite a bit of fallout after the bowl game. I would like to see Tony Wiliams stay and Oku out. It is a shame about Jackson and Hughes. Simms - could care less and the poor guy is in one tough spot. He needs to start seriously thinking about graduating and possibly coaching at the collegiate level. He will never amount to an NFL QB.

As for Wilcox, I do not think anyone will blast you as Dooley has been very clear - there are 1,000 coaches that would love to be a Vol and not any one coach is bigger than the program!

The Wilcox thing needs to get resolved quickly. Losing Jackson is the worst thing that could happen.

Jackson isn't going anywhere. play just one more year and he will be getting paid millions to play on Sundays. it'll be stupid to sit out a year.

Zas is back. Thanks for the info.

Jackson has some serious "personal/family" issues to sort out. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't finish out the next season. In fact, if he makes it to the bowl game it could be his last.

Hughes won't make it either. Grades will end his playing career. He won't play again for UT.

Williams feels his injury set him back and is now getting recruited over and won't have a fair shot. Can't really blame him. Oku leaving will help his situation.

Simms doesn't have anywhere to go.

Meline is unhappy with this role. Needs a change or he is gone. Probably gone anyway.

I personally feel it is best if Wilcox leaves now - he won't be at UT long - and there a a few good DCs to go after at this point.

I am still hopeful about Janzen. Losing would mean rebuilding someone else at that position.

Good God, our defense is gonna be very poor next year......
Much worse than this year imo, especially with all the attrition.
Coaching change, players leaving (either through graduation - LBs, or quitting)
Not to mention the possibility of recruits decommiting.....
At least the offense will be better!
