If we just win the games that we should that is automatic 8-4. We win the push games (i consider those UF AND LSU) thats 10-2. I do believe UGA has a more talented roster this year but we seem to have their number. These boys could very well shock everyone and go 11-1. Like many have stated, team health will be the biggest factor this season.

The DL will have to stay completely healthy to win any more than 8 games imo

Maybe as a collective group but Barnett wasn't an overachiever. He was consistent every year in terms of production and disruption. I think we have more overall talent on the end but question is...will they produce?

Barnett is the greatest DL in school history and he backed that up with stats against elite competition. That's not luck by any means.

We need our ends to live up to their enormous potential this year and provide around 30 combined sacks. We need our linebackers to give us about another 10 and we lead the SEC in sacks. That's what we brought Shoop and now Hoke here for. Its time to set the dogs loose this year. We have the speed on defense to do so.

I remember thinking that he'd be a very good wide receiver back when Fulmer recruited him to play for us back in the day. At least he's finally here.

Also remember posting that I bet Adoree Jackson would spurn Tennessee only to be drafted by the Tennessee Titans and find himself living in the Volunteer State anyway.

No they don't. I did the calculations. Our rosters are roughly identical in terms of talent. With the game being in Neyland, it gives us a distinct advantage.

I believe we win that game. It'll be close once again. But we'll win. Probably something like 31-28.

Never said it was luck. Barnett had incredible insticts, determination, and work ethic. He combined that with decent physical gifts to dominate in college. All I meant to say is that Kongbo and Taylor are more physically gifted. Not saying they'll outproduce Barnett but there is no question to their superior talent.

Regardless of what Hoke said, there should be legitimate concern about our defense as a whole, including D-Line. I know we were hit with injuries, but we still have a lot unproven on that side of the ball. Not to mention we are praying Tuttle can come back and play at full strength. We are still thin at DT and it gets really dicey if Tuttle isn't available.

One thing I hope Hoke drives home is not breaking contain with mobile QBs. We were awful with that last year

They're roster is more talented due to the players that came back for they're senior season and the caliber of player that each of those guys are. That kind of experienced upper level talent is huge. Imagine if Barnett, Malone, and Kamara had all stayed for this season what expectations would be like? That is the situation they have at UGA. They have questions at WR and OL. That's the only reason they are not a preseason top 10 team.

You would have to hope the SEC teams we beat have a good ranking for this team to make it to the playoffs. Our out of conference schedule would probably keep us on the outside looking in.

Our out of conference schedule is pathetic but in no way would we miss the playoff.

Those 3 are upgrades over Barnett and Vereen. Way higher ceiling

Our 1st string DL is plenty good enough, but man is Shy Tuttle's health important to this team!

Man looking at the future and realizing that we will have JG at qb, Coleman, Jordan and chandler in the backfield, and palmer, Jacques jones, and latrell Williams at receiver.. I'm getting chills
