Practice 7

Aside from Wolf's drop in a high ball, WR is looking good. Byrd was looking real solid in his few reps that were shown. I'm brand new to posting, been lurking all summer but I'm thankful for Fingers to get these reports!

Welcome! GBO!!

Welcome friend!

Thanks for the warm welcome! (I know there were multiple welcomes; this was just the first one I saw) It gets lonesome here in AZ being a Volunteer fan so I thought I'd sign up.

Also by chance anyone know Bumphus' number? Keep wanting to see if his in these clips because I keep reading about him

Wow... I've not seen such a good QB->WR rythm for very long time.

It felt like musical treat to my ears and heart felt so so so happy watching practice video.

I sleep happily hear after, I'm Uber confident on this team.

7 on 7 did the trick!!. GO GBO!

On the hitches, do our coaches not teach them to come back towards the ball?? It seems like they just sit there and wait on it

I was thinking the same thing, but I think the ball is supposed to already be there when they make the turn. Might just be a timing pass. I've seen on a few others the WR does come back towards the ball.

Hitches/Hooks are about timing, you actually usually don't want the receiver to have to come back to the ball because these routes are run particularly to the depth needed on the play (i.e. to the sticks, plant, turn, catch). The only time you want to see a WR step towards the ball on these routes is if the throw is late and/or the corner can jump the pass.

Curls and Comebacks are the routes that usually involve the receiver moving towards the LOS when the ball is in the air. Curls are very close to Hitch routes except the WR breaks wider marginally in an almost "U" shape which makes it easier to adjust and high point the pass.

I'm entering the black hole where my projected win total for the year is increasing a game per week. Par for the course for early August.
