Ainge said this morning the Malone "bad attitude" thing is getting blown way out of proportion. Basically that his personality is just a bit laxed and he will be fine. Ainge said he's very similar to Justin Hunter in this and it's not necessarily a bad thing.
Take practice and everything that the coaches and players say by a grain of salt. You won't know the truth about anything til game night. Coaches do things to spark more competition.
If you weren't who you are, you'd be taking heat for your perspective...thanks for the real life knowledge. :salute:
For kicks and giggles I went back and watched highlights from practices 6 and 7 of last year. It is amazing the difference in tempo and speed. Routes against air go twice as fast now, and the routes now aren't just comebacks and go routes. The difference in team speed is really something, even in just the practice highlights. The quarterbacks also look more accurate than they did a year ago. Is the accuracy at a championship level? Of course not, but there seems to be a vast difference between the team at this point now compared to at this time last year. The growth over the next three weeks is going to be fun to watch and hear about.
Could you please link last years?

I had really hoped that Worley would step up this year but it's looking less likely to happen at this point.
Is that your professional opinion?
Also, Jones said "Anyway wideout that puts up one hand goes to the pit" and then about :30 later in the video (going to assume it's later in practice) Malone does exactly that.
Assuming Malone did that and Jones saw it, that could be part of why Malone seems to be dropping down the depth chart. Jones doesn't want walking around in his practices. Jones doesn't want half-@ssed efforts.
Honestly... good on him. I'd rather have a hard working 3* than an entitled and half-effort 5*.
Not saying that is what Malone is but the guy had a huge Spring and now he seems to be in something of a free-fall.
And on the "going against air" or "atmospheric question" there is environmental familiarity as well.
No. But do you know what the coaches are asking them to do in those drills? Some of it is certainly just poor passing. But the other day we had folks here going nuts because Worley was throwing behind WR's in a drill... It was later reported that the QB's were working on back shoulder throws. When do you want the QB's to try things out, practice or for the first time in a game?
Just calm down and let it play out.
Yeah, people saying that the staff is trying to keep fueling the QB race have been getting spit-roasted on here.
The "name Worley starter NOW" thread is honestly a classic look on why Jones isn't telling the fans anything. He owes the public nothing.
Just backseat your entitlement, coolguys, and enjoy the ride.
This in conjunction with what TS is saying as well as Butch is selling competition to future recruits.
The hubris people display when they say "From what I saw on tape today, QB's are looking bad"
Really, you managed to solidify your opinion based on 5 throws each from 5 guys in a passing drill compiling all of 1 minute and 34 seconds. :lolabove:
I'll have you know I took Tulane in NCAA 2013 and did so well I got invited to the SEC and started dominating there. This in conjunction with what TS is saying as well as Butch is selling competition to future recruits.

I can scout more in 1:30 based on limited information than entire coaching staffs with hours of it and personal relationships with the players to boot.
I just choose to ignore a $500,000/year job so I can sit on here and pick apart practice videos someone else cut.
