Today, media got 3 periods, with period 3 (actual rotations; formations/real playing) being no filming or shooting. A few of my observations today:

-In period 3, Kongbo was moving very fast. He absolutely smoked the right guard (can't remember who) and forced a zero play to Dormady. Motor wasn't slowing down at all. Moseley had a nice pick. Guarantano didn't really get to move the ball much but made good decisions and didn't cause a bad play. Had a nice 10 yd ball while being rushed but Perry dropped it. Overall, we seem to have really good talent on both sides of the ball all the way from 1st-3rd team.

-Tyler Byrd continued to impress. He's very quick and made some good grabs. Always knows where to be when the football is in the air. Preston Williams didn't miss a catch on the ball machine, which was throwing them pretty quick.

-Marcus Tatum still needs to be more aggressive but actually slowed Kongbo down once in a one-on-one rushing drill. He's the skinniest offensive lineman I've ever seen. Looks like a stick but he's pretty tall and seems to have a good skill set. Corey Vereen had his way with Richmond in a rep. McKenzie and Boulware had a good rep together, but eventually McKenzie overpowered him.

Once again, thank you

Jack Jones working with the 1st team over Coleman Thomas is really surprising. I don't hate it. But dang. We have great depth there.

This isn't a depth chart though. Butch told us that they're going by a rep chart. Coleman Thomas will definitely start. But some players are getting more reps simply because they need them, not necessarily because they are losing their jobs. There were some 1s from last year that were on the sideline or 2nd team. It's a good move to me. Throw some of the freshmen and younger guys against the 1s. Give them the reps.

QBs and RBs that we play better get used to having a lot of dirt and grass in their diet. DEs are about to light it up this year!

Vereen also ate Cam Robinson's lunch last year....guy has turned into a fantastic DE! Boy this year's DL will be fun to watch!

Told ya, dont sleep on Moseley. He was a true Sophomore last year starting.

We have the perfect amount of talent and depth to run Shoop's style of defense. He wants relentless pressure and if we run a deep DE rotation, OTs will literally have to be in superb condition.

Crazy to see some of the talent on 2nd team..Kongbo, Kyle Phillips, Justin Martin, Nigel Warrior, Tyler Bryd..not to forget the injured Shy Turtle as well. This team is stacked.

My question is, will Justin Martin start? I didn't watch corner closely, but remember the others looking good in practice and being talked up only to get torched in the season. I really want to see Martin have a significant role.
Any word on Butcher? Is he just buried on the depth chart or is he hurt? Also what about Bates? I will hang up and listen.

Nathan Niehaus also won his rep in the circle against Kahil McKenzie

Good news: Niehaus whipped KMac in the circle.
Bad News: KMac got whipped by a freshman.

So Vincent Perry is back with the team? Well I guess I don't care about the details, just glad he's back.

I thought for sure that Martin would start opposite Sutton. I wonder if that is another spot where reps were being given out to the 2nd team guys?

Yea I think Perry is basically a walk on now trying to earn back his scholly but the way I understand it, he can't play this season. Is that correct?

I did spot big Tut jogging in front of the camera. Forgot how big a boy he is!

Fingers reigns supreme!
HardKnox for pres!
Thanks guys
