Rucker calling out the VQ guys. In-house propaganda or not, I will roll with Hubbs, Brice, and Fortenberry all day over 247.

based on what I've been hearing I totally expected this. I'll tell Wes he needs to be thankful for what he can get. :)

Jennings getting his stripe removed speaks to what kind of player his teammates think he will be. The guy could have gotten frustrated by the position switch, but instead he put his head down and got to work. Congrats to JJ

WOLF STILL THERE: Sophomore tight Ethan Wolf practiced again after returning to the field for Saturday’s open practice in Neyland Stadium. The first-team tight end missed a few practices last week with an unspecified and supposedly minor injury.

CUT BLOCK DAY: The Vols’ daily “Maxim One” period focused on cut-blocking, with offensive players diving into dummies and defensive players working around a big medicine ball to avoid cut blocks. Offensive linemen typically love cut blocking work, and nearly every defensive lineman in football history has hated it. Jones enjoyed taunting some of his defensive linemen — especially junior Danny O'Brien — about the joys of cut-blocking drills.

SPECIALISTS STUFF: One of the two periods open for media viewing focused on special teams work, and the Vols worked on field-goal protection while the snappers, holders and return men got in some work with the good ol’ wet ball drill. We didn’t notice any major mistakes, which is usually a good sign.

This. I wish I could see all of every practice but I saw one of his catches on the highlights a day or two ago and it was just so fluid. Not the kind of catch you expect a QB to make. Think he will be really good.

Congrats to Dormady, and Jennings.
