Practice #11 8.14.16

No, Butch changed it on us (I think Tuesday or Wednesday) but said Sunday was closed. They have practice again tomorrow at 6:50 and I'll be there once again. I'll bring what I can.

Thanks!

Also, one thing I've really noticed covering fall camp so far is just seeing how paranoid Butch really is. First week, we pretty much were strictly not allowed to film or photograph during special teams period (that's his baby). However, I do remember seeing them run a fake field goal play and it was absolutely sick :whistling:

And...thanks!

I'm glad you're here..

I would say that there were aspects of the Saturday scrimmage that needed immediate attention, and CBJ didn't want it open for review. There's a lot to accomplish and little time to get it all done.

If I was the coach, I would have UT film what I did not care for public to see and just post on youtube or give to media that way you do not have to worry about info or pics etc getting out you do not want.

It said selected periods on the schedule but if changed then no big deal. As long as the team is prepared for the season and performs well then practice videos aren't necessary.

Wife just tried to make plans the Saturday of the Florida game... Almost needed a lawyer

Newly married? After 7 years my wife stops trying to chitchat with me from August-December. She also never plans anything on Saturdays. I've done a good job brainwashing my children with orange serum so they don't know you can do family outings during football season.

That's pretty much what he lets us film. Stretching, some kickoff drills, WRs on ball machine, DBs on the tackling dummies, etc. The best action we've been getting to film is QBs throwing to WRs on routes (but no defense). We've only seen a full scrimmage setting once (no filming) and it was for only like 10 minutes then we were kicked out.

As a fan I love the info you give and I understand what you are saying. Just from a coach perspective I would not want to worry about someone even taking mental notes and giving info even on that 10 min of scrimmage etc and it getting to other teams directly or indirectly.

I still think the best fake FG of all time was Ashford to Ellis in that Mizzou game.
