PPV Or Not PPV?...That Is the Question

For the first couple days after the UF debacle, I told myself there wasn't a chance in Haites I'd spend the $ to get the Gameplan broadcast of the Arky State game - not on this team. But as the week's gone on, I'm starting to think I might regret passing up the chance to watch the Vols play..on the off chance they've had a Road-to-Damascus experience this week and Saturday night were to begin a season turnaround for the ages, howevery unlikely...

Still not decided for sure, but I'm leaning towards getting the game...was wondering how many more of you are in the same quandary? :dunno:
actually i felt the exact same way. but i'm getting the game. can't NOT see the vols if i have the opportunity to do so. call it a reflection of growing up having to listen to the majority of the games on radio i guess.

Your chances of paying the money and actually seeing us win....spend it.....save your money on some of the future games.

Oh well. I am in the same boat as this thread brings up. Last week still has me foaming to the point of not wanting to pay to see crappy football. But, as a VOL, I also can't NOT watch them if they are on.

A bar in my town has Gameplan. I have to get there a little early, round 6, and mark my territory and start ordering liquor drinks where I look like a high roller then they will change the TV to my game. That is about the time I start ordering domestics.

Excellent. Always nice to see a man who knows how to work the bar staff properly.

I ditched ESPN gameplan this year because I remember there hardly being any games on it that I could not get on my other channels. I have the full package on directv so I get all the regional sports channels etc...

The lady told me that I would not get my discount if I signed back up and I said fine, no problem. Then about 5 minutes after I hung up I remembered the reason I got it to begin with last year was for the TN PPV games, DOH :bash:

Not gonna sign back up. It isn't worth it for the game or two left that will be on it. I will listen on the radio again or go the the sports bar.

On a side note, I am in my second year of NFL Sunday Ticket and it is SWEEEEET!!!! Watching 8 games at once is almost too much though. Hard to really follow a game in detail that way.

I just paid my $24.99 as well. It hurts but if any type of progress starts this week then I want to see first hand. Not hear it from the mouth of Bob.

By the way for those who are having issues getting the game on a sports station website due to it being blocked out UT Sports Official Site is offering all games including pre and post games for free on their website. So you don't have to go anywhere else if you want to listen to the game.

I have ESPN gameplan. I've had it since the 2002 season. I cannot imagine the thought of UT playing and me not watching...not matter how bad things get.

I wouldn't consider a win against Ark St, no matter the margin, a season turnaround.

As for the ppv, no. Years past I wouldn't miss it. Right now, I'm not paying anything extra as long as Fulmer is coaching.

I'll probably listen on the radio.

I'll be at the game but if I wasn't going, I wouldn't pay good money to see UT play this little school.

I was planning on buying the game this weekend, but I forgot it was my anniversary. So,my plan is,I'm taking my girlfriend up to Blue Ridge Georgia Saturday to spend the night(I've made her a Vols fan)and we will probably wind up at the Brasstown Valley resort to watch the game.I just hope they will be playing it.I know I have watched several Tennessee games there in the past.

I went to brasstown for a few days with my gf in august and loved it.. im actually doing a service encounter presentation for my services marketing class on wednesday and im trying to find some good pics of the front lobby.. you have any good ones?
