Have success and stability. Tennessee has been down way too long. Basically 4 joke hires in a row, i'll include Kifturd, it's hard to overcome.

During his early signing press conference, Coach Heupel used the term “Power of the T” a couple times. Maybe this is tradition and I’ve just never heard it (I’m just adopted); or, maybe CJH has started something that is significant.

The Power T is a symbol, a logo that we all respect and love. But Power of the T is

Team culture
  • A feeling of brotherhood amongst the players
  • Sweat pouring out of an athletes body in the weight room
  • The chills players and the crowd feel when POSL band opens the T
  • The rattling of teeth as the mouth piece is jarred free by a UT LB meeting you in the hole
  • That perfect route and pass that results in 6
  • The team singing with the crowd after a big conference win in Neyland Stadium
What does “Power of the T” mean to you?
It leads the blind to walk and the lame to see!

I'm almost 50. For as long as I remember I've been a UT fan... back to the late 70's. The term "Power T" didn't emerge until the mid-late 90's IIRC.

So for me, I don't need "The Power of the T" to define my fandom. It's in my blood. I know I'm now "old" to the younger fans but I don't need a marketing plan to let people know who my team is.

I know, I know....get off my lawn!

I would respond with a blue font, OK boomer, but you're too young to be a boomer! LOL

For me the "T" means Tribalism. Tennessee passion in a lot of cases is passed down from generation to generation. My grandparents and aunts/uncles were big fans. They passed that passion to my dad. He passed that passion down to me. I passed it down to my nephew and now Im passing it down to my sons. The power of the T = Tribalism.
