NC State will probably double up over under on Hunter and zone CP and make us win by running the ball. My prediction is, we will have to run the ball early and well if we are going to win this game. Second half, the air raid will start.

Screen plays will keep amerson in check.

I agree to an extent. They need to get some early screens and check downs to devrin and rajion. Those would have the same affect as running while getting bray in a little but if a rhythm

If they drop extra guys into coverage Neal and the boys are going to feast on their inexperienced LB's all night. We will run first and effectively.

GT and FSU ran it down our throats last year. Our guys seemed to be in position to bring 'em down, but failed. I'm very concerned about UTs running game, no matter how they performed last year.

If the team sucks at running the ball again, then the coaching staff has failed. There's no reason for this team, after an entire offseason of adjustments, to not be able to pick up yards on the ground.

O-line has something to prove this year and it starts with this game. Also, we got Tiny on the line. Just follow him for 5 yards.

Two on Hunter.
One on CP with a Safety shadowing his side.
A Nickle back on our Slot Receiver.
Rivera will tee off on these inexperienced Lbs, I'm talking like he could have a massive game. Rivera one-on-one with an inexperienced ACC Backer equals 100+ Yards receiving.
That leaves 6 guys left to defend our running game. 2 of those are backers, so NCState has basically 4 guys to stop our running attack. CP and Hunter will keep us in the game, but the backs and Rivera have to step up for us to win big.
The win is theirs if they want it...WRU is rising from it's slumber...and NCState is the unlucky soul who woke it up. GBO

I'm thinking the backs are gonna get off. Their speed on that turf will blind The Pack. And I think it will be both. Neal is good and I still get the idea some people don't understand how good Devrin Young is. As a true freshman he was third on the team in all purpose yds with over 700. He was second averaging 88 all purpose yds per game. Most of those yards were on returns, but he also missed 4 games. He's got the skillset, and Ive got this feeling he and Neal are gonna ball.

i ve been watching Devrin play since pee wee football my nephews grew up with him I hope he continues to do what I've always seen him do .. which is play lights out when you need a big play.

Watched him as a freshman in HS and I was sold. Don't have ties to Bearden, but I watched them play all the time when he was there. Haven't watched them play since. I used to take my son to see him. One day he'll tell his boy about Devrin...because he was that good.

I would be mostly to very disappointed if our coaches don't have a run first/throw when opportunistic game plan. Of course if we throw it 98% of our plays and win, I will be not at all disappointed

Running plays into their weaknesses at linebacker and passing plays into their strength at defensive backs... therefore I think we should definitely run first if possible.
