Potpourri

Outstanding post Bruised, simply outstanding...I had no idea of the depth of the movie.

Rio Bravo is probably my favorite western, with Tombstone a close second...I was raised with a study diet of western legends on the small, and big screen...A time when men were men, and women were glad of it.

She changed in front of an open window...

Big mistake in Forbidden Planet....

The invisible monster is approaching the crew of United Planets Cruiser C-57D, in their defensive position, surrounded by their electronic fence forcefield...

At 2:44, Lieutenant Jerry Farman sends out 2 men of his "trouble squad" to the adjacent rocks (outside the electronic fence) to get a crossfire of whatever is approaching their position....The forcefield is not turned off, but the 2 men go right through it without any harm, or any electronic activity by the fence.....Big mistake.

Later, at 4:00 during the battle, the 2 men that went through the forcefield, are killed by the invisible creature...It is clearly visible that at least one of the guys was beyond the forcefield...It is worth noting that one of the killed members of the trouble squad is James Drury, of "The Virginian" fame, later in his acting career.

Also, the creature attacking has a goatee that is visible in it's outline in the forcefield...This confirms it is Dr. Mobius's monster of the id attacking them...

It's not so much a mistake as an homage.

🎭 In Shakespeare's "The Tempest," neither Stephano nor Trinculo were within the force field.
You can google it!
