Potpourri

Fellas, I am a huge fan of Southern Rock, esp the Allman Brothers. But Led Zeppelin still is tops for me all time. Anyhow, if anyone Hasn’t seen this clip of Jimmy Paige showing how he came up with some of his rifts, it’s worth a look. Peace all and GT thanks again for this thread.

Watch that last one all the way through for something special.

Gonna say good night and leave you with this powerful music

They were the Kings of the 70’s, likely the best music decade ever…..

Finally, I found another country music singer on Youtube that is worth listening to. He is a young man, just starting out but his voice is old school as heck.

Dawson Steagall is his name. Check him out and lets help give him a career boost. he is being produced by Keith Stegall (no relation) who produced Alan Jackson's music.

Once, I had a Japanese girlfriend that translated this song to me....As she said the words, she broke down in tears...The singer had been killed in a plane crash....The airliner had a major malfunction that took a long time for the crew to finally lose the craft...Many of the passengers wrote notes to their relatives because most knew they were not going to survive..

When I was a very young boy, we were in from California visiting my country cousins up in the Clinch Mountains of Tennessee....Mom had me go around to the back of the house and see the Well....I had no idea what a Well was.

When we got back there I looked down in the Well and my cousins said it was spitting today...I thought there was a Whale down there....I asked my cousin how long had the whale been down there? They said down where? I said at the bottom of this hole in the ground...

This went on for awhile...They thought I was a little touched in the head because I kept asking how did you get the whale into the bottom of this hole...They said what hole...I said this hole.

Their Hillbilly accents, and my Italian accent, really had everything all confused that day...Eventually my mother came into the backyard and gave me a Coke and said she would tell me later how the Whale got into the bottom of the hole in the yard.

For a few minutes, look away from the Lady Vols agony and remember how fortunate we were to observe the majesty of Robert Duvall....RIP

GT, I have been posting clips of him for years. My current dog, a beautiful English Red Labrador is named Gus in honor of his character in Lonesome Dove, Cpt. Augustus McCrae. Loved Duvall.
