:( Looks like my old Lady will be going under the knife again tomorrow for a recurring cancerous skin growth. We thought it had been cleared up a few months ago but no such luck... Dammit Dammit Dammit!!!!
Gule, sorry to hear that but am thinking about you and your wife and hoping for the best.

Rooster, the magnificent, so great to hear from you my friend....I have not been posting very much lately...No definite reason, just my biorhythms (dated term) have been directed elsewhere.

In the late 90's, 7 good friends and myself, went on a 2 week golfing adventure into Baja California, and other areas of lower Mexico......We had a small caravan of SUVs' going down the long black highways of Mexico.

A couple of the guys were married (no wives allowed on trip) so I spoke to their wives and assured them it was just golfing....It would give them a chance to miss each other, and when they returned it would be an epic romantic reunion....

We played a variety of gambling games, such as Nassau, Triple 6 Nassau, and a couple more. Also, on every par 4 or 5, each of us was in for $10 for longest drive, and 5 bucks for shortest number of putts....If a guy couldn't long drive too well, he usually could putt, so it almost always balanced out......almost that is.

Our fail safe system, so no one lost too much money each day, was each days winner had to pick up the bar tab and pay the (big) tip at dinner.....Some days it paid not to win....LOL.

The only negative happenings of the long trip was a couple of the guys forgot about the hazards of Mexican water....One guy swung very hard to get his drive out for the bucks for the longest drive, but "Montezuma's Revenge" took hold and he made a mess on himself....He could not stop[ passing gas...Of course, we could not stop laughing at his misfortune....He was easy money for a few days after that...

Guys, what brought back my golfing memories was today I was watching the "The Farmers Open", at Torrey Pines Golf Course ...Back in the day, Torrey Pines was my home course....I even once won a tournament as a member of the Men's Club there...

One time I was working the course, as an assistant on (hole #13) for a PGA tournament, when Tiger came up to the 13th Tee Box.....This hole was a massive par 5...It always took me at least 3 to get on the dance floor, but a young Tiger W was on in 2...He was not only on the dance floor, he could hear the band too...And then he tipped the band leader. Mama Mia!

I was stunned at the power and coil this young man had...His body turn was magnificent, and the explosion of his club and ball colliding "was spectacular"...I know time and injuries have taken away so much of his game, but to me, he is the greatest golfer that has ever lived...It was an honor to just watch Mr. Woods play the course. And for that, I will always be thankful.

Some of Tiger on #13, and other holes at Torrey Pines....
