Potpourri

I know where Whitwell is and I understand your apprehension going into a biker bar there!!
Goose Creek Symphony ...haven't thought of them in years....certainly wouldn't have guessed they ever played there!! Were there local ties??

You could always tell the locals from the implants by the way they said this city's name...visitors called it Whit-well,,,locals call it wütwül

Not sure if Goose Creek Sympnony's ties were to the local city or to "Cricket and the bikers"...The Chattanooga Outlaws met there and the Prez know pretty much everybody in the southern rock n roll world. My sister knew the Prez and she told me he introduced her to Gregg Allmon.

I had met Charlie Gearhart and the Pearl at a bar called "The Sportspage". To that point I had only known of the album "Words of Ernest"...but later found out that they had bootlegged 6 other CD's (I bought all of them).

In the attached youtube video,,,Charlie is in the hat and Pearl is Bald headed...If this isn't your cup of tea advance on to the 5 minute mark and listen till the mark (particularly the fiddle at the 8-9:38 min mark. This shows the versatility of GCS

and this version of "Guitar's Pickin and Fiddles Playin" (skip to 3:25)

Speaking of behind the curtain....
One time in Vegas I was chosen to go on stage with the magic act at The Flamingo....I had gone to the magic show with a "special female friend" from San Diego, that danced at the MGM Grand Hotel...

Anyways, on stage he was doing his act of pulling things out of my pockets and such, but where he messed up was he let me get too far behind him....I saw the hidden keys to several gimmicks, but in kindness to my female friend, I acted uninformed and stayed amazed....

Later that night we met the magician for a drink...He was really a cool guy...He asked me if I figured out what he was doing, because he said he sensed I was more aware than I acted on stage...After all, I was nothing more than a human prop for his wonderful magic show....Be it far from me to take the smile off of someone's face.

I kept the piece of cut rope he gave me for many years....During his act, I had got to far to his rear and saw what he was doing and what part of the rope he was cutting...But I stayed silent, as any good prop should.

Love it all!!!!!

This famous San Francisco clock tower has a very special meaning to me....The girl I was dating at the time, flew me to San Francisco for my 40th birthday....She told me to keep my wallet put away, the trip was on her...It was her birthday present to me...She was all class, with a nice.....

We went to a nightclub/lounge overlooking this clock tower to have a little dance and drink as I turned 40....She even had pre set it up with the band guys to play Happy Birthday for me at midnight...

After the birthday song, the band guys played a slow song so we could dance close to each other....Well, about 30 seconds into the song a guy taps me on the shoulder and wants to cut in...I turned around to smack the guy (gently, of course) and lo and behold, it was my best friend from San Diego...After a big laugh we all three joined together dancing together...Then a couple of other people wanted to join us, and lo and behold they were our friends from San Diego too...She had arranged with them to fly up to San Francisco to join in with us on this monumental occasion...Where do people get such friends...

I had recently been watching a Dirty Harry movie and the clock tower was shown a time or two...It always takes me back.

Amazing GT. You tell a story like a pro Dude.

Know this the wrong thread.
But for the football/women's basketball fans
They say Tennessee lying to Their quarterback
They said they know the family
They said Tennessee coaches were supposed to design the offense to Nico skills.

Think that works differently, you recruit to your style of play not a single players.

What's sad is they probably actually believe that.

Tennessee did use some plays taking advantage of Nico running ability.
You right it's one thing to put in a few plays your quarterback is good at.
and another To rewrite the playbook for one player.

If you make it through the video they said exvols.
Said the system on offense Tennessee is running now don't prepare players for the NFL.
There is not many exvols quarterbacks in the NFL who have played for Tennessee Vols football head coach at Tennessee.
They are saying exvols who have been in the system said that.
Know this is the wrong thread.
@chuckiepoo
I knew if posted over there I would get more replays.
But I didn't want to have a ton of replays
I done on football Chuckiepoo for now.

And they should not have drag exvols into their argument.
