With several players such as kyle phillips, alvin kamara, and preston williams close to being 5 stars, theoretically how many could we end up with in the 247 composite rankings. Which recruiting services still have to do their final rankings?

All three of them are considered 5 stars on some site or another.

All 3 of those guys are 5 stars already on various sites.

If one of the major services has them as a 5 star, I consider them a 5 star

Don't forget Kahlil McKenzie. In all probability, McKenzie is the only one who would be ranked as a 247 Composite 5-star prospect. However, McKenzie, Williams, Phillips and Kamara have been ranked as 5-star prospects by one or more services.

I don't really care about star rankings. IMO we have 5 potential collegiate stars that'll become high NFL picks. Kahlil McKenzie, Kyle Phillips, Darrell Taylor, Alvin Kamara, and Preston Williams (in that order).

You've underestimated the poterrrrntial of this class...

With nearly all the services having released their final recruit rankings, Tennessee has four 247 composite 5-stars, more than any team in the country. Including those filthy Bammers.

While we fans love to see the * 's, really the only list that comes into play on NSD is ESPNs. With them including UT in their massive ESPNU coverage for the day, their rankings are the only ones getting much pub. I doubt they will mention 247, Rivals, or anyone else.

5 star players in the Super Bowl this year=0
2 star or less=20

Interesting stat.

I don't get too caught up in all the * business. I'm more concerned about what they do on the field for UT. Don't get me wrong, though...if given the choice I'd take a higher ranked player but once they hit the field it really doesn't matter.

The way we've flushed 4*'s recruits out of the program from last years class would support your position. :good!:

This is from 247 only, not the composite that averages all the services. Still looks pretty sweet though!
