I honestly believe you make stuff up and post it professing knowledge of it. There was one player in the entire state of Tennessee that averaged over 25 points per game this year. Anyone who knows high school basketball knows your statement is ludicrous on its face. Maybe you just specialize in college basketball. The sad part of it is you are using it to diss a Tennessee player already on the team who is not on your "list".You'd be surprised how many players in East TN average 25+Ppg in HS

I think BTO was just exaggerating a little. But in the past there have been quite a few players get 19-23pts a game. Also, not sure every school post on Max Prep or keeps it updated. Also, does it include every division including the private schools? Galen is a fine player that would get minutes at a school like an A-Sun school.
Half of the players on a mid major could play on a major team. Galen had offers from two mid majors but wanted to stay in Knoxville and walk on at UT where he was a roster member when he was a freshman. When they dropped to 13 scholarships he was placed on the scout team. Doesn't mean he can't play now and be a benefit to the team. Just does not seem right to me for a player to bust his butt in practice for two or three years makingI think BTO was just exaggerating a little. See, now you are fishtailing, your original statement was there are many players in East Tennessee alone averaging 25+ points a game. I just called you on that statement as being a bunch of baloney. There is one player in the state of Tennessee in all divisions averaging 25+ a game. In his senior year at Knox Fulton Galen averaged 24 as an All Stater and I bet he was in the top 10 that year. What is it that Butch and hopefully Coach T say. We are going to own our state. What better place to start?Correct.
I recall prepxtra use to post the stats every Thursday I believe it was in the news sentinel, there were double digit players averaging over 20ppg. Steven Pearl averaged close to 30ppg at West High School iirc, that should tell you all you need to know lol.
Brandon is a senior, Galen is a junior. Does anybody besides BTO really think we'll go 13 deep? Save those for a freshman next year and the year after and give them to these two VFL's this year.

This is why I was concerned with not having a recommit from Cofer tonight. With it being slow played and having other guys visit, if someone like Owens or McGhee wanted to commit and Underwood is announced and releases some guys from USM then those 6 schollies will dwindle quickly. I don't know if we really take more than 3 long post players. Someone's getting left out and we could see it as soon as this weekend.Southern Miss is expected to announce SF Austin coach Brad Underwood as their HC tomorrow according to Gary Parrish and other media reports.
I would expect within 1-2 days after the hire for some guys to ask for a release, and to receive that release within 1-2 days. So hopefully by the end of the week we will have a better idea of who from USM Tyndall is looking at.
With McGhee supposedly taking an OV this week, and Tariq Owens also possibly visiting, could be a pretty active next ~5 days for the Tennessee staff.
Brandon Lopez in 2012-13 from Basketball Time in Tennessee. He earned his first letter as a Vol after averaging 5.8 minutes of playing time in 17 games. Brandon scored 5 points to go with 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals, he he averaged 6.1 minutes on the court in 8 SEC appearances. Lopez scored his first career SEC points when he drove to the basket to lay in a finger roll in the win over #8 Florida, and he was called to action when Trae Golden went out due to injury against Vanderbilit on 1/29/13 and responded with a career high 3 assists and 2 rebounds to help lead the Vols to victory. Coach Martin had this to say about Lopez, "He has every right to get minutes like everyone else. He knows he fights for those minutes. I went back and watched last season's games. Watching him play, he came in during some big games and helped give us a boost. He came in and gave us major minutes." And you say he is not worth a scholarship! Shows exactly how much you really know! Here is a guy who has busted his butt for 3 years helping this Tennessee basketball team, and you say give the scholarship to some dude who has probably never set foot on campus!!!Uhm Tyndall himself said he was filling the class, are you saying he's a liar?
If you're saying Lopez and Campbell should both be on scholly you're saying we should pass on 2 recruits, that would be a worse move than any Martin ever made.
