I would take Garner back in a heartbeat. I'll pass on Trooper. Just my two cents.

There are the guys I've seen that could be coming here:

Oklahoma State Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receiver Coach Gunter Brewer
LA Tech Defensive Coordinator Tommy Spangler
LA Tech Defensive Backs/Recruiting Coordinator Terry Joseph
LA Tech Linebackers Coach Stan Eggen
Offensive Line Coach Art Kehoe

That's all I've seen thus far, I haven't heard anything about Trooper but Garner is a long shot I think.

Im not 100% sure Garner has been hired yet, but I know Dooley will be pushing for him. I've been told it will be a co DC deal between Garner and Thompson.

LaTechs websire shows they are without DL and WR coaches.

Terry Joseph and Stan Eggen are still there. I have heard very good things about what Tommy Spangler has done with the defence there. Would like to pick him up.

But he's bringing Sprangler, right? That's 3 of them. Doesn't seem likely or is Sprangler going back to a position coach?

I was checking on Brewer's coaching history and he's done a good job with WRs. Also of interest, he coached at the now defunct ETSU football program in the early 90's. All that said, I'd still rather have Chaney.

Those were empty even before CDD took the job. From what I've seen across the web it seems all but certain Joseph and Spangler are coming here. Joseph is rumored to be a up and coming coach and a excellent recruiter. Like you said I've heard good things about Spangler as well. I saw that Stan Eggen hasn't been told yet if he is coming but he is the other potential assistant to come as well.

We'll see I guess.

I was also wondering the same. Part of it was him leaving us. Another thing, he got Auburn into NCAA trouble. I think he was suspended from recruiting for a short time over that. He did have a knack for keeping everyone motivated(fired up).

If we lose Chaney, GOD forbid, then I say we go after Jeff Jagodzinski. He should be sitting on a couch somewhere waiting for a call.

what about 2 of usc seto and mcnair they are good recruiters or kelly from central florida i think

Wouldn't surprise me if the Dooley's had a chat with Garner and had Garner join Derek's staff to provide him much needed support and stabilize the recruiting.

As much as the chest bumper annoys me the dude can recruit and coach RBs and WRs. I'll take him.

Someone said that Hubbs has said that there is heavy interest on Garner's side on joining this staff.

I know that Garner is a great recruiter but can he coach? Seems as though he can't get a defensive coordinator job.
