Who has Graham recruited? Saying Graham is better is premature. You know very little about Brown's abilities. If they are anything like Kippy's, he will be more than fine.
Liked this part, among others.
"In 1983, Brown got his coaching start at the University of Tennessee where he began as a graduate assistant. In 1984, he became an administrative assistant and served as the Volunteers scout and computer analyst. Brown was part of a Tennessee coaching staff for six seasons (1983-1988) and worked with seven All-America selections, including Reggie White, Tim McGee and Anthony Miller."
Maybe so, but most kids out there don't realize that.
From reading this thread, g8terh8ter_eric, greatly dislikes the idea of an NFL running backs coach as our RB coach. No amount of logic will make his mind change. If we got him I'd be happy. And most of volnation would be too I'd imagine.
You're not making any sense. Kids would care that he coached Lattimore. A recruit couldn't care less whether he had to work at recruiting him.
Bottom line is you can't use Lattimore to tout Graham's recruiting prowess. He was never going to go anywhere else. Do we even know that Graham was his lead recruiter?
FWIW Graham is the only reason SC got an OV from Keith Marshall this year. He also was a large part of evaluating and offering Brandon Wilds who is looking like a pretty good find at the moment. And he was Lattimore's primary recruiter.
So he seems to be a pretty solid recruiter, along with being a good coach. Hopefully SC would do whatever it took to keep him if Tenn comes after him.

Good job ignoring the point. Quote me saying Graham isn't a good coach or recruiter please.
I'm not, but at this point, Brown would be so far behind Graham in recruiting it's not even close. The man hasn't recruited at a high level in college, and hasn't recruited a player since 2008. There are much better candidates out there.
NFL experience goes a long way in recruiting. Don't know why you're so convinced that Brown wouldn't be able to recruit. Graham sounds like he's done some solid recruiting but nothing that proves he's elite. I would like either hire but prefer Brown.
So, you prefer a guy whose team never broke the Top 50 in recruiting almost 4 years ago, to a guy whose team is in the SEC, has been in the Top 25 in recruiting each season he has been there, and is the lead recruiter for some of the most talented people in the south?? Sorry, we need a current college guy who has recruited the SEC, not someone who has not recruited in almost 4 years, and never at a high level.
