Florida just called and they agree

Tubby has a good record against Bama, but over the last several years with bama crippled from scholarship reductions who hasnt? Tubby has had some great teams, very talented, and has never gotten them to the big dance. SEC media days, Tubby said this years team was the most talented team he had ever had, already 3 losses and the uncertainty of knowing what the rest of the season will bring.

Tubby had the best team in America that year with cadillac and brown....they were IMO the national champions

Fear the second hand. :whistling:

Since Fulmer will more than likely be dropped after this year, who is available that you would consider the new HC.

Someone at work was talking about the Utah coach.
I like Jim Leavitt, dunno if he would leave USF tho.

If you had to guess who would be coaching for UT next year, who would you guess? This isn't a thread about who you would like. This is about who you think is most likely to replace Fulmer if he is gone, so lets leave Bob Stoops out of this.

Auburn could very well beat Alabama again this year. Like i said earlier, Auburn has owned Bama through the probation years, but even with the drastic scholarship reductions, Auburn hasnt been able to throw Bama a beating. 11 points is the largest margin of victory. Times have begun to change, Saban of course improving the teams production, but the main thing right now is recruiting. He is kicking Tubbys Azz up one side and down the other. Bama is not going to be the same Bama that you have seen over the last several years. My whole intention in this thread was when i saw Tubby's name mentioned by some of you as a good replacement to Fulmer was to just possibly give you some insight on Tubby. You cant tell me that you would be pleased in settling for a coach, just to make a change. Bama has done that alot. and we settled for year after year mediocracy. Tennessee is too big of a University to have to settle. They can go after the big hire, and get a well established, big name coach.

Nice, start out with a choice that makes me sick... But really, I can't see him leaving Cal for a team he smoked this year.

If you are asking who is most likely to replace him, it would unfortunately be Cutcliffe...

Thats why I am stabing in the dark. I have nothing. I want Fulmer out but I don't have a replacement. . . thats why we have Hamilton. I think he will come through.

And about Tedford, although he smoked us, we did kick his '06 season off to a rocky start.
Do you not think he would want to move into a position where he was in the middle of the Southeast, getting kids out of FL, GA and also have the ties to Cali? Taking on teams like FL, AL, USCe and UGA every year? I think it would look somewhat appealing to him.

Yea right...Hamilton has enough sense to get rid of Fulmer but then all of a sudden becomes braindead and hires Cutcliffe.

The original question said nothing about Hamilton actually firing Fulmer, just who his likely replacement would be. In my opinion, there is a slight (very slight) possibilty that Fulmer steps down and offers Hamilton Cutty as a replacement.
