why in the world would tuberville leave a powerful SEC team to come to an equally powerful SEC team?

No, the guy has a possible history of cheating from what I heard. I don't think he will be that great of a coach here.

I'm all for it if Will Muschamp comes along....But far as Cutcliffe goes, if you fire Phil....Fire every one of them, Cut needs to hit the road to.....clean house and get some new blood all around...

Remember after the '03 season when the AU AD went to meet with Bobby Petrino. Do you think Tubby has forgotten about that?

Tubby has a great record versus ranked teams.... but loses alot to unranked teams. If the Vols get a new coach, they need to get the best and not some retread.

Because Tennessee has a top 5 fan base in the nation, has a bigger stadium, more resources, is 8th all time in NCAA, second all time in SEC Championships after Alabama. Historically we are a lot better then Auburn. In recent history we have had greater recruiting classes and more players put in the pros. Auburn is not at the same level as Tennessee, they are not even the top team in their state.

Was that short Auburn kickoff against LSU Saturday night -- which certainly gave LSU great field position for its win -- intentional or was it just a lousy kick? I know about wanting to kick it away from LSU's explosive kickoff return guys but it seems to me like under those particular circumstances -- less than a minute to go and where a field goal would have won it for LSU -- the obvious choice was to kick deep and take your chances.

Why would Tommy Tuberville, leave a SEC powerhouse to come to a middle of the road SEC team? We aren't what we used to be people, we no longer have a top-notch program.

the only reason Tubs is considered a good coach, is he surrounds himself with good assistant coaches (with the exception of the OC). We need a good coach, who can coach up players along with the assistants... that has been lacking since the 60s in my opinion.

On one hand, I never have liked Ears all that much. On the other hand, he knows how to beat Bama!

He isn't leaving Auburn.

yes he is.

Tommy Tuberville will be the head coach of Texas A and M University after the conclusion of this season. A possible Offensive Coordinator to be at his side is Major Applewhite, formally of the University of Texas. That is what has been disscussed in Aggieland since the fall to Miami. The Applewhite news has been kicked around since the begining of the year. It inflated after the Texas Tech loss. Sorry Auburn, you lost your coach. We'll give the SEC Franchonie back though, if any of you will take em'.

Stay at USF and make $1 million

Go to UT and make $3 mil plus!

Not a tough decision.

Get Jim Leavitt. Nick Saban already ran his mouth off about this guy taking kids that Florida and FSU wouldn't qualify. He hates the bama coach like the rest of us and he can flat out coach. Besides, he wouldn't have to take those kids if he were at UT. I doubt he leaves South Florida though.

It's already been said but to summarize:

1. Tubbs - get's em up for the big ones, loses the little ones. Seems to me they lost to MSU this year. They almost always lose to Arky.

2. Texas A&M - the next most likely spot for Tubbs.

3. I did hear that he is part-owner of the Smokey Mtn. Market on Chapman Hwy and absolutely loves Roosters...
