Potential Bowls?

Just talked to an AP guy that I roomed with at College.. He tells me that UT is going to the Music City Bowl... Nashville wants the Vol fans and all their money..
if that were true, the staff should be sent a demand letter to depart or make up the difference between the payout of this bowl and a real one.

What money? They wont get any money from Vol fans. No hotel, no tourism. That would be horrible for the Music City bowl.

Wow. You're in London? Were you the one who was trying to find a place to watch the game earlier? Where did you finally end up? I need to take notes for next time I'm in London during football season.

no one really broadcasts the games here, so i get what i can online and the games i can't watch, my bf gives me the play by play.

So, I guess it helps Tennessee if LSU gets the title game, no? Georgia to the Sugar and UT might get a spot that Georgia would otherwise take up. Or, am I missing something?

bowl assignments will be pretty nonsensical this year, i suspect. i think in any event our best case scenarios are the peach or outback. but it could be much worse.

One of the SEC teams play the title for sure... if its not LSU then GA would go... i dont think any one else other than LSU can jump the polls to number 2... i think i need to pack my bags to tampa for new year!!

Oklahoma could have a chance to jump both. OU has a good chance to finish ahead of Georgia. But, I don't think they jump ahead of LSU (especially considering they didn't in the Coaches poll).

Outback wouldn't be bad at all. Not the Sugar Bowl, that's for sure, but at least it's a New Year's Day bowl.

The Outback Bowl wouldn't be bad!? It's another 2nd-rate bowl game that is completely irrevelevant. Besides that, it will probably be a repeat of last year's Outback Bowl, where the team played halfheartedly and lost in an embarrassing fashion.
