Same old stuff in every press conference. Sick and tired of it.

What do you expect him to say? If he said "we are bad, bad on defense" then he is right on. Can't say much more than that.

Ok...I stomached it.

What I heard, when Coach was contrasting their big plays against our cover 2's and cover 3's, was....we got out coached.

And we did. Every time we made a defensive change to stop their short game, they out smarted us and went over the top...and visa versa.

No matter how you break it down...it's poor coaching. These defensive coaches must be lost...I just dot get it. Not at this level of failure. Man...wow. Scratching me head and sighing.

Didn't Dooley say recently that he's been getting more & more involved with the defense? Hmmmm....then we give up 721 yds & 48 points to a Sunbelt conf team that lost to Florida Atlantic last week. Coincidence? Lol

I agree 100%. I don't think I have ever seen a squad, offense or defense, get worse on a weekly basis...well, maybe Auburn on offense, but, this defense is unbelievably bad and getting worse. UT has the talent and I honestly believe that IF UT still had Wilcox or anyone else and put just an average D on the field..just AVERAGE, then we would be looking at a top 10-15 team right now.

Dooley doesn't really coach anything and he has never coached on the defensive side of the ball anywhere so I don't see him being much help.

the most troubling thing about that statement is the rest of the follow up about how the defense is practicing against the recruit team....well it ain't no damn wonder they practice good and play like crap...how are they suppose to learn from their mistakes like that??? put Bray and Co up to them this week and show them how to contain that...you're gonna need it with Misszu and james franklin & co in the near future....

and why isn't CDD putting more time in with the defense..he was asked last week...he said he deals with the o and special teams....well those look decent...let the recievers coach have the o to get the routes polished up and somebody hand Sal a break...if he's this bad..somebody has got to fix it instead of just waiting for him to get fired....

i'm just beyond sick of all this....

What do you want him to say? "we suck" "I suck" "we cant win"? Anybody who has ever been a coach or even a leader/boss in the workplace knows that's not the kind of attitude you can have. What would you say? Please, If you know the answers, go apply for the job.

Much to my regret, Sal has packed his bags and left the Knoxville area.

How about we let or D try to stop our O a few times in practice this week so they can get an idea of what a real team is like. I know we don't scheme anything like Mizzu does but our players need to practice against SEC level talent if we are ever going to learn how to stop it.
