Well he has every right to be pissed at how the team played in the second half.

WHY can't they hit freebies? Does Bruce not think they are important enough to work on? This is nothing new.They've been terrible all year. Hell, I'm 53 and I can hit 7 out of 10 consistantly. NO EXCUSE FOR THIS.

why did BP change his gamplan at the half? He was running them out of the gym in the 1st half then he wanted to run the clock down before shooting in the 2nd. Why the change? I fell he was playing not to lose instead of to win

I don't think the GP changed much. Face it, OSU played completely uninspired ball in the first half. We were amped and hitting our shots.

In the second half, OSU made adjustments (primarily to their attitude) and we didn't hit shots -- if we don't hit shots, we can't effectively press. OSU stepped up huge in the second half. Our guys (by their own admission) weren't agressive on D early in the half and couldn't hit shots or freethrows. In short, it was execution not game plan.

OSU only turned it over once in the 2nd half. The big problem was that we couldn't buy a basket for the first 10 minutes of the half . . . therefore we couldn't even set up a press. OSU started scoring at will and effectively forced us into a halfcourt game.

That and we couldn't get an offensive rebound to save our lives.

Yep, gotta agree. At least we can play with the best of them. I still think OSU is beatable. I'll be surprised if they are in the NC game.

It only took 21 hours before someone stated this basic truth.

Missing shots is one thing, but not being able to rebound and take another crack at it is another. At one point Ohio State scored on 11 of 12 possessions.

I just now made myself look at the box score, and imagine my surprise when I see the Vols actually outrebounded the Buckeyes 34-33. :wacko:

Most of that damage had to be done in the first half, since it seemed like OSU was sucking eveyr miss up in the second half.
