Scanning the posts today, I've come to the conclusion that probably less than 5 % of the posters are college graduates. Nothing else explains the lack of language skills and analytical reasoning.

Lol, I'd suggest someone drawing that conclusion based on nothing but anecdotal guesswork and making it public ... probably missed the whole critical thinking piece that is supposed to be the bedrock of the collegiate experience.Scanning the posts today, I've come to the conclusion that probably less than 5 % of the posters are college graduates. Being someone that went to college but did not get his degree because of family and monetary reasons I can say this with clear and concise knowledge
College degree does not equate to being intelligent
Its cool to think since you paid for 4 years of extra knowledge that you may somehow have superior intellect to others. That really depends on the degree that you obtained
Some of the brightest minds in history were never college educated

The entire tone of this thread is one of arrogance and condescension. A person's educational background should not be the qulifier for being able to post on any internet message board. If Op is too intellectually superior to mix with the great unwashed here on VN, I suggest you go start your own board and set the standards wherever you please.
Andrew Carnegie-Elementary school dropout
Steven Speilberg-dropout
Michael Dell-CEO Dell drop out
Bill Gates-dropout
Andrew Jackson-never went
John D Rockerfeller-high school drop out
Paul Allen- Co-founder Microsoft drop out
Ansel Adams -high dropout
Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Andre Agassi, Trace Adkins-all drop outs
this just a short list of the large percent of people that dropped out of high school college and or elementary school
Those are exceptions, not the rule. If you look at large companies, I would be willing to gamble that 95% of their CEO's, COO's, and upper level management all have master's degrees at the minimum.
And what do movie stars, a tennis legend, and a country singer have to do with this conversation? This has to do with intelligence, not being talented and dedicated to your craft.
Now I'm also certainly not saying that having a college degree means you're intelligent, or that not having one means you're an idiot. I know plenty of people who graduated college that I'm surprised don't forget to breathe. I'm just arguing that while those are good examples, they do not mean anything unless you take a huge sample of people in their professions.
